Leapers/UTG’s dot sight is designed to offer a crisp dot for professional precision shooting. By design, a reflex sight will more or less have coma effect due to the spray rays and minor ghost image caused by reflection. In general, due to the contrast, the brighter the target background, the crisper the dot appears and the least amount of ghost image will show. In addition, lowering the illuminiation intensity setting will lessen any ghost or spray imaging.

I was building up a Ruger 10/22 and I wanted a red dot sight but I wasn't prepared to spend too much money on it. This one had very good ratings and for less than 35 bucks, it fit my needs. There are plenty of others out there at this price range but I went with the UTG because I've purchased other products from them before.Pros: Fit perfectly on 2 different pic rails. Easy to adjust for windage and elevation to zero it in. Has kept its zero through hundreds of rounds. Good battery life so far. Came with 2 batteries and a cleaning cloth. Has flip up covers for the lenses.Cons: It's a little long so I wouldn't want to mount it to a pistol. The covers work great but the tabs you use to flip them open are pretty small so it's not as easy to uncover the sight as I'd like. The dot appears a little star shaped but I wear glasses with a strong prescription so I'm not sure it that's the red dot or my glasses.I say the battery life is good but I put the battery in the sight before I go to the range and don't turn the dot on until I shoot. Then I turn the dot off when I'm done shooting and take the battery out when I clean the gun. I've heard of other red dots that will kill a battery in a week but I've used this red dot for about 4 months on the same battery running for an hour or more at a time.

This mounted on my AR-15 with picatinny rail securely and without issue. The red and green dot dial selections each have 5 settings of brightness and are super clear. What I really like is the spring-operated lens covers. They flip open easily and close securely. Durability is yet to be seen but I can't see any problems with it. For the price and features I recommend it.

The sight is a big bulky for what it is. I guess the form factor gives it a robust "tacticool" look to it. It seems well made, does not look cheap at all. I like the flip up covers, very handy.Using it on a 22lr, has held zero after a couple hundred rounds.I've got it mounted directly on a flat top, not using a riser. This equates to an upper 1/3 co-witness using magpul buis... I'm not saying I run this setup as a upper 1/3 co-witness, I'm just stating, for the sake of this review, where the reddot sits in relation to buis without a riser. Yes, I realize absolute and Lower 1/3 would be "proper" to some but agai ,just reviewing the product here, giving info.So how does this compare to the TRS... well keep in mind the two reddots are in different price points. That being said, they are very similar in performance up to about 50 yards. The TRS has much clearer optics, and a nice crisp dot. The UTG has a slightly larger dot, and the optics don't seem as nice as the TRS, the optics are darker too. The difference in optic quality is really noticeable at 100 yards. BUT the sight still works well at 100 and I was hitting clay pigeons at that distance using 22lr and the UTG. So the dot is spot on even though the image is a bit distorted.Initially at 50 yards I thought both were equal, but after seeing both in action at 100 yards I'd pick the TRS over the UTG.Having said all that I do realize the UTG is 1/3 the price of a TRS and I'd say it's a fine reddot especially when you factor in the price point. It has held zero and done it's job. So, it's great up to 50 yards, fine up to 100, not sure beyond 100. So, if you are on a budget and only have 30 bucks, i'd sure get this one, it'll work. If you have 75 bucks, i'd suggest the TRS.

Got this to mount on a Beretta ARX 160 22lr pistol. Read lots of reviews which were very good. But this thing is even better than the reviews in my opinion! Solid as can be, and so easy to mount to the rail. You can tell right away that it's going to stay right where it is, since the grip is so precise and strong. So impressed with the quality and functionality. It was very easy to sight in and took me maybe 7 or 8 shots to do it.Some have said that the dots are not as perfect as they would like them to be. I did not find that to be the case at all. On all settings, I found them to be fine and sharp, especially for how little you are paying for this one. And it is so easy to use. You use this with both eyes open, and it is so easy and comfortable. And the viewing angle doesn't matter at all, just keep the dot on the target and you are good to go!For the money, this has got to be one of the best deals around. I'm really glad that I settled on this one. While some might not find it to be good enough for really demanding applications, for the vast majority of users, I think that it is completely up to the job! And you can tell that it will last a long time. They even give you an extra battery, which is a nice touch! Also, the flip up caps are terrific, and they flip up further back, past vertical, than most of the pictures show, and so they look better as a result.Again, for the money, you can't go wrong with this! You will be glad that you didn't spend more, it just isn't necessary.

Very very satisfied. Feels high quality when handling it. Works really great.I love it,I received it this evening and I had fun for hours with my Benjamin Trail NP Pistol and Low Profile Dovetail to Picatinny Rail Adapter!Very precise, adjusting it is nicely done.5 red dots and 5 green dots, it's your choice.2 free batteries with it, that's pretty cool.A++++

I've used this for a couple of months now. It has held zero and functioned as it should, battery life is good even in cold weather. I like the flip up lens covers.
