I used these rivet nuts in conjunction with another product, 6/32 fine thread 1 1/4†black bolt. Also purchased on Amazon. We replaced the hardware on our bedroom dresser set. The new hardware required a decorative bolt to go from front to inside the drawer. Could not have a long bolt tail sticking into the drawer, so needed to come up with a solution that would provide a flush surface on the inside of the drawer. These worked perfectly. See images.

Maximum grip range of about .050" is not listed. Not useful for plastic because I can't use a backup washer. I needed a grip range of at least 3/16" which is way beyond its capacity. I was going through .085 plastic + .070 aluminum backup washer.

This is a must have when you need to do a job that you can't put nuts onto the back side. Fantastic!!
