This switch is good value for lower current duty. My needs are for very low leakage--sub picoamp--between the switch contacts. The ceramic wafer provides that. Have measured less than 1nA of leakage, this is the limit of my present setup. The construction is reasonable for this price point. The sliding contact sandwiches the stationary switch contacts which is ok for low currents. The turning force is reasonable with positive detents. Another reviewer complained that the knob slipped when turning. You have to tighten the setscrew hard to prevent that, the flat on the shaft is there to exactly prevent slippage. On mine I replaced the 3mm setscrew with a hex head screw which allows positive torquing down.A drawback is that the mounting of the switch on a panel does not positively lock it to prevent the switch body from rotating due to applied turning force. As a reviewer wrote previously, one can reverse the two assembly screws to have them attach to the front panel for more secure mounting. This is a reasonable component at the price point. It is not as heavy duty as a 50 to 100 dollar unit from the big manufacturers like Stackpole, but will work for a lot of applications.

Used for an amplifier band switch. The ceramics and terminals are first rate. The rotary action is smooth. Recommended.

This switch is of very low quality and broke even before I could install it.

Not the poor Radio Shack quality. Very good.

I purchased this switch because I wanted this style knob. Stinks, because knob doesn't fit the shaft.

No anti-rotation lug. If the nut loosens, the whole switch rotates. Reverse one, or both, of the long bolts to overcome this.
