I always make such a mess with the standard buffing wheel and compound, but this bit lets me skip that altogether. I got a few different grits and each has worked very well. The shank on these bits is narrower than what I usually get, but I have a rotary tool chuck adapter on my dremel (I’d picked it up at Lowe’s just so swapping dremel bits would be quick and easy, and I’m sure it’s on Amazon as well), so I honestly didn’t even notice the difference until I’d been using the bits for a while and went to put them with my others. Anyway, these are excellent, and I’ll definitely be getting more

I am very upset that this buffing tool meant for jewelry making and other small crafts/projects DOES NOT FIT A STANDARD DREMEL ROTARY TOOL COLLAR! It is way too slim on the shank /stem. This will likely fit a Foredom Rotary tool (cost is over $1000) but not the $100 Dremel that everyone owns. They do have a shank diameter listed in the latest listing but not on the one I bought from. Seller did not specify shank size and I was misled, as they showed Dremels in the photos. Very deceptive and very disappointed in not being able to use or return due to delay in testing them out.I am sure that the rubber/silicone mix would be great for polishing, as this is what jewelers use. Very upset as I have jewelry backed up that needs polishing and scratches buffed out. This is a slightly aggressive buffing, not the mirror shine type. Cannot recommend for Dremels. This will fit most Foredom handsets that are designed for slimmer shanks.If you buy the Dremel 4485 Quick Change Rotary Tool Collet Nut Set Medium $8 on Amazon, you may be able to use these after all. I will give this a try. Seller should be very explicit in what tools this can be used with, and not be vague. 2 stars deducted for that.
