Everyone is complaint about the bearing not being seated dead straight but it’s an easy fix. Other than that’s it’s works just fine.

They work, and are probably 10x cheaper than buying something from one of the usual industrial suppliers. You probably get what you pay for but they seem to get the job done for what I need.

These bearings have a lot, and I mean a lot of wobble. I tried using them, but finally gave up. They were a waste of my money since I can't really use them.

I think they will work, not real good construction

These are ok for the most part but they get stuck A LOT! I mean in terms of the angle of the bearing - they will move around just fine in about every angle except for straight - in which it gets jammed pretty hard and won't go perfectly straight - which can cause problems. Lubricant baths didn't do the trick so I ended up ever so slightly sanding the inner part down a bit so that it would move around more easily.Overall they're just "ok" but not great because of that problem. I hope this input can help the manufacturers build a better product.

3 out of 4 bearings are stuck and don't self align. I can move them with a long rod, yet it takes so much force to budge them that they end up moving further than I'd like. What is the deal with these pillow block bearings??

These bearings are great. Ordered 4 to use on my custom-built CNC machine.A lot of people in the comments complaining that the bearings are not straight within the retaining block. That's because these are self-aligning bearings! The bearing itself has a slightly concave outer profile, and the retaining block has a convex hole. This means the bearing can rotate and pivot in any direction, inside the block, without falling out. This is to compensate for any misalignment of the surface the block is mounted on, and the shaft going through the bearing. This is a FEATURE, not a flaw. A bit of force may be needed to move the bearing initially though. You can also twist the bearing completely 90 degrees and unmount it from the block.

They solve the alignment problem with ease.I have 200 mm 8mm shaft and fitted the bearings.Being used in a gearbox external application.Light duty of course 5kg load no sign of heat build up or excess noise.
