Imagine my surprise when I unpacked my Amazon delivery to find a brown cardboard box about the size of an unfiltered cigarette pack, but only half as thick. In large letters it proclaimed "WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm" followed by the California government's website address. Another, smaller sticker, proclaimed it to contain beeswax and that it originated in China. What do they feed the bees over there? It did help a sticky drawer.

Just got it and only used it once however it seems to work well for waxing stitching thread. I just warm it up a little and pull my thread through the bar a couple times. Though there are many different ways to get the same effect (probably better ways). Thats what I’ve been doing. Would buy again.

I use this on my serving thread when I tie in peep sights and such. It makes the thread a little tacky and it holds better, and ties in much more securely.

So I too was a bit concerned when I received this bar from China that says its Beeswax, but then had this California Prop65 giant sticker. Currently still can't find what chemical from the list is "carcinogenic". Someone mentioned Lead but I see no evidence of that. There are hundreds of everyday materials that we touch as American on this Prop65 list. Alcohol, acetazolamide and amiodarone (common medications), and dyes (yellow 5 for instance). I would like to know what chemical I need to be aware of. Sadly this isn't a problem with the product per se, but a problem with a proposition that isn't clear what it's warning about or requires the amount the product contains. I mean an Angler has seen these warnings on their sinkers, poles, and lures for years. Just shocking that we are seeing it on Beeswax. Probably just a preservative but you should make your own judgements. Caveat emptor. Otherwise the wax is fine. I have never used Beeswax before so I can't tell you anything other than the size of the bar. 3"x2", and 0.5" thick.

This item is very misleading, as the description says in multiple places that you are ordering a quantity of 5, which implies that when you order 1 item, you are getting 5. When it arrived, I instead received one tiny box that has a warning from California that somehow this might cause cancer, and it is made in China, and has no information or description. Very disappointed by the misleading item photos. Will not order again.
