Circular Cross-Section
- They are circular in shape, round in cross-section.
- Designed for use in a wide variety of sealing applications.
- With low gas permeability, are commonly used as gaskets in fuel system sealing applications.
Fluoroelastomer (FKM) O-Ring
- Noted for their very high resistance to heat and a wide variety of chemicals.
- Excellent resistance to aging and ozone, very low gas permeability and the fact that the materials are self-extinguishing.
- Excellent resistance to mineral oils and greases, aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, fuels, non-flammable hydraulic fluids (HFD) and many organic solvents and chemicals.
- Generally not resistant to hot water, steam, polar solvents, glycol-based brake fluids and low molecular weight organic acids.

I bought these to seal a pipe connection in a gas heated vaporizer to sublimate oxalic acid for treating mites in a beehive. The vaporizer reaches 400-450 degrees Fahrenheit and the o-rings are still intact and not affected by the heat nor the acid. They work well to prevent vapors from escaping. There is some stretch to them as well so they are a snug fit if you size down slightly. I’m very pleased with them.
