Perfect fit. I purchased a Pair of Rear Tailgate Liftgate Lift Supports Struts for my 2008 Pontiac and as a DIY Grandma, I thought I could easily replace them myself. Well, I made the terrible mistake of removing the clips from one strut end connectors and managed to bend them to the point of unusable. After a deep search for replacing/buying clips, I found them hard to find and what I did find were extremely expensive and no guarantee they could be used on the struts I purchased. Therefore, the next step was to replace the fitting connectors. After all that drama, I found this set of M6 Female thread fit the strut perfectly and this time I had the mechanic's install them during an oil change. Fast and easy. The connectors are high quality, the price was affordable, and shipping was super-fast. I'm very happy. :-)

These are a GREAT improvement over the garbage stock end fittings that came on an (expensive) gas spring/strut that I have. These have metal internal threads, whereas the ends that came with my gas spring have plastic internal threads (which were quickly stripped).I'm using my spring/strut for a custom application (horizontal door support on the rear/cargo door of my Lexus GX470), and the plastic threads of the previous end fittings stripped out after a short time and wouldn't hold the strut in place anymore. Since I have now replaced those with this set (with metal threads), everything is good!

The original threads stripped on just light pressure, these have metal threads and do not strip even on heavier impact.

Since the plastic parts are the usual failure points on RV door gas shocks, it's easier to keep a couple of these for spares rather than have to store an entire assembly.

Once I realized the ends of the gas cylinder were removable I was able to repair the assist on my treadmill. These were a fraction of the cost of a new gas cylinder and easy to install.
