Working Principle
When the electrical appliance works normally, the bimetallic sheet is in the free state and the contact is in the closed / open state. When the temperature reaches the operating temperature, the contact is opened / closed, and the circuit is cut / closed, so as to control the temperature. When the electric appliance cools to the reset temperature, the contact will automatically close / open and return to the normal working state.

The flange on the switch is float and easy to installation.
Please Note
1.Do not collapse, loosen or deform the top of cover surface during installation to avoid affecting performance.
2.Do not allow liquid to penetrate into the interior of the thermostat or crack the housing.
3.The thermostat should be stored in a warehouse with RH less than 90% and ambient temperature less than 40 ℃, which is ventilated, clean, dry.

If you want the hottest coffee you can handle, get something that is set at a lower temp than this. I have to let my coffee sit for a while before I can sip it using this. However, it worked to fix my coffee maker. I did have to solder it in but, it was easy.

I was able to repair my 2 year old GE built in microwave with one of these switches. Due to poor design the push on connector over heated and melted the over temperature switch. This switch has .250 tabs not the .187 tabs like the original. The original tabs were burned and needed to be replaced, so no extra work to upgrade to the .250 wide connectors. I saved the cost of a new built-in microwave for less than 10 dollars and a half hours work. If you do this repair be sure of the temperature rating and use good quality connectors.

This is a normally closed sensor that opens above 180 degree Centigrade mounted in a ceramic case (important feature at that temperature.) I will purchase this item again when needed.

The prongs are way bigger than the illustration, I would have had to rewire the entire appliance, ended up throwing this away as it wasn't worth the hassle to return.

My Glanz microwave's thermostat was malfunctioning. So I searched and ordered for this one. It worked great and will see for how long it would be. The only thing for which I will be giving 4 starts is the packaging was not great. the box was about to break and the risk was to break the legs. I got a pack of two and tested one. Don't know about the other.
