Information
Taps can be divided into straight flute thread taps, spiral flute thread taps, spiral point thread taps and thread forming taps. They are also divided into hand taps and machine taps according to the usage. Hand taps are operated by tap wrenches. Machine taps are suggested to be used with tap collets with overload protection. Recommended feed rate: General steel: 6-15m/min; harder steel: 5-10m/min; stainless steel: 2-7m/min; cast iron: 8-10m/min.

Nicely made tap. Cuts clean threads in stainless. Much better quality than the cheap import taps. I have. The tap does have the material or country of origin marked on tap.

I used it to repair threads in an aluminum engine block. It worked as advertised and is reasonably priced.

I got a hold down bolt cross threaded when remounting the driver's seat of my 2006 Tacoma. The hold is 10MM in diameter and there are 1.25 threads per mm spacing between threads. This tool fixed my problem quickly and I was able to install a new bolt and now my driver's seat is fully secure.

quality tap, the business end did its job well.... my only gripe is that i had to use a crescent wrench to turn it as it would not fit in my standard tap turning wrench. over all great product

I had to bore out the center of a rusted bolt then used this tap to remove remaining portions. It did the job, patience and lubricant helped.
