- If the length of product is 25mm, there is 0.25mm of warpage deformation; when the length of the product is 200mm, the product exists 2mm warpage deformation. Note: Product specifications below 10mm in diameter (inclusive) are applicable. Warpage check method: three-jaw chuck clamping, check the runout of the other end, the specific check value as described above.
- High Speed Steel (HSS) is also known as air hardening steel or steel. It is an alloy steel of complex components, including tungsten, molybdenum, chrome, vanadium, cobalt carbide forming elements. Amount of alloying element is approximately up to 10-25%. Under high temperature of about 500℃, High Speed Steel still can keep high hardness of 50HRC above. Red Hardness is the main features of High Speed Steel.

Good rods, the surface texture is not smooth, possibly from grinding or another machine tool. I am using them as glued in supports so that works out for me. They have a light oil coating on them. I checked them on a micrometer at 3 points across 5 pieces and they were 1.380mm to 1.399mm in diameter.

I bought these to use as support rods for model kits (especially resin kits). They are very hard and strong compared to brass rodsHowever, that also makes them very hard to cut. I chipped my 6†wire cutter. I had to buy a 14†bolt cutter to cut a 1.1 mm steel rod. (WORKPRO W017004A Bolt Cutter,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015W3BAW6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)If you’re a model builder considering these, I’d recommend to go with brass rods. They are much easier to work with and strong enough to support resin kits.However, if you absolutely need a strong support rod, get these steel ones. Also get a bolt cutter because you will need it.

My 8yo is into model trains and road ways. I bought these to use as sign post, and they work perfect for HO scale road signs. Better than styrene strips and use to cut with a Dremel. Would and probably will buy again. I'm sure I'll be wrangled into making more signs that I really want too.

If you're looking for something really straight, these ain't it. Bought these assuming this might be the case, considering they're coming from Amazon rather than a tool company. They came in a soft bag inside of the Amazon soft bag. So extremely unlikely being straight. Can see light under them when rolling them on a machined surface, and they didn't work on a prop balancer.
