Im using these for an portable table used inside the home, so they won't be exposed to outdoor elements. If used for outdoor, or, outside of a vehicle, I would recommend painting or even rustproof or undercoating, after all, they are solid steel.

I had a very specific task of bolting a large county sign that had been ripped off in a wind storm to a new steel post that I bought. Yes it should be the county's job but they are busy. Sign said...Bridge Out Ahead so kind of important. I needed a very specific size of U bolt the exact width of my steel post and this manufacturer had it and nailed it! Drilled new holes in the sign to accept these and modified the steel post a bit to accept them. The sign still stands and the Ubolts are still tight on the steel post. Good hardware and very strong. Would recommend this to anyone needing mounting hardware such as this.

At very low torque the first of four completely destroyed it's threads. Being super gentle, the other three held temporarily until I could replace them. Very light duty for the diameter of bolt. I would not purchase again unless I wanted something cheap that only required finger tightening.
