Possibly the best purchase that I've made for my 5th wheel to date. Extremely easy to hook up, use, and clean, but it's more about the chores that it eliminates compared to using a "stinky slinky". You don't have to use a sewer hose support because it "pumps" the liquids, even up hill. You don't have to "save" water in you gray water tank so you can rinse the stinky slinky. In fact, you can leave your gray water valve open EXCEPT when you're draining the black water tank, so you have one less tank level that you have to constantly monitor. It is MUCH easier to handle than the stinky slinky and stores in a fraction of the space. It is virtually self cleaning, so when you're done emptying and ready to pack up and leave, you only need a quick rinse on the end of the hose before you wrap it up and store it. When you empty the tank, you can just walk away and do something else for a little while and don't have to babysit. It does take a little while longer than emptying with the slinky, but because it is clear, you can see from a distance when the tank is empty. The adapter fits ANY sewer and is much easier to hook up than the slinky. Everything is included, but I highly recommend spending the extra money for the 10' extension hose. I've had to use it a couple of times when the campgrounds that I stayed at had an odd configuration for the water/sewer/electric hookups. It's also a bit of a novelty and I almost always have other campers ask "what it is". I really should try to get a sales commission from Valterra because every time I've shown another camper how it works and stores, they've always wanted to know where they can get their own. Even had a couple of people that were so impressed with it that they asked if they could try mine out on their rigs......that's just plain gross.....on so many levels......

See my product demonstration video. Summary: My travel trailer is semi-permanently parked about 90 feet from my septic tank. The run is initially uphill, then a gentle, slightly downward slope. I tried emptying my black and gray water tanks with the standard RV sewer hose, and it was nearly impossible. Kind of like trying to force-feed a reluctant boa constrictor. I considered various options. An $200 electric RV macerating pump (e.g. Flojet 18555-000A) can probably pump uphill better, but for me the idea of working with both electricity and water seemed hazardous, and there was the hassle of attaching and detaching both plumbing and electric components each time I needed to empty the tanks. There was also the option of a 120V domestic-style "upflow" toilet macerator pump (e.g. Saniflo 002 SANIPLUS Macerating Pump, White), which seems like the perfect solution except for the $800+ price tag.So, I thought I would give the Valterra SS01 a try. And it meets all my expectations at an affordable price point. I ran about 80 feet of 1-inch PVC pipe to my septic tank. I used a hole saw to make a hole in the septic tank lid, and used a 90 degree elbow created a drop with a length of 1" PVC so that the waste water drains right into the distribution T just above the household waste water. This extra drop helps create a siphon effect and could make all the difference in the efficiency and effectiveness of this system. I attached the Sewer Solution device to my RV, and the Sewer Solution kit drain hose directly into the upstream end of my 1-inch PVC line with a female fitting. In the video, you can see that this system works perfectly. I use the Sewer Solution to blast the black water contents down the drain, and follow it up with the gray water. Because the Sewer Solution establishes the siphon, I can turn the water off and the siphon drains the gray water no problem.

I have been RV'ing for almost 30 years myself and 50 years if you consider it all started with my parents before me taking the family RV'ing. The 4" stinky slinky has been in use for that entire time and it is about time someone came up with something as easy and wonderful as this. Wish I thought of it. It has made the absolute worst part of RV'ing a non issue, particularly if you put just a bit of effort into the installation if you have a coach with a utility area like I have (any class "A" coach). Check the photo I have included. I made a simple and easily removable manifold out of pex so that all of my connections are at a single point. The manifold stays put all the time. I just swing ball valves to direct water where I need it and never have to connect/disconnect once we are parked. The Sewer Solutions is even better than the only other option to the stinky slinky which would be a $400 macerater pump which is still messy and stinky. The best thing about this product are:1) No more mess and no more smell2) I used to always leave the grey tank shut so I could use it to flush down a bit after dumping black. No need any more2a) Leave grey valve open all the time when at the park.3) Pull the black valve, turn on the flush, walk away for a few minutes or wait for brown to turn clear, shut the valve - done4) I bring a 1" x 10ft length of PVC pipe with a 90 and copper adaptor on it just in case I need more reach at the park. No concerns with uphill/downhill5) I can now go straight home after a trip - no need to find a dump station because I have a 30ft x 1" PVC line with unions that I can quickly connect to my clean-out at home, so that is 40ft + away and slightly uphill and it works flawlessly.Summary: I can't rave about this product enough. Made the absolute worst part of RV'ing a complete non issue.

This is not a macerator it is only a flushing device

Worked as expected. Added extra 15’ hose and no problem pumping slightly up hill for 20+ feet.

This product works exactly like it says but I did have to modify some of the longer discharge hose. I recommend it to anyone
