Our previous cap was damaged and wouldn't stay attached, so I purchased this one for our motorhome. It is a perfect fit, and the tether cord attaches easily to the tube on the coach. Once attached it locks in and works perfectly.Generally speaking I can recommend any Valterra products because of my past experience with them. I believe they are first-rate quality products, and this was no exception.

One question Valterra? why only two ears and not 4 like to lock er down, like the originals have? hum cutting cost one "ear" out a time. Other than that, no complaints, Must have for rvers.

Got fed up with paying to dump the Black and Gray tanks from the Trailer so decided to make my own "dump station" at home using this adapter connected to the lid of my Septic Tank. This fitting used with another fitting that usually connects to the end of your tank piping makes a hose connection at the Septic Tank. I then run a 1" diameter garden hose from a 1" fitting on the discharge of a 3/4" horse Garbage disposal I bought a Wally. I I adapted another Valterra hose to the top of the Garbage disposal. I run a normal hose from the top of the disposal to the trailer dump tanks fittings... Voila, home made "dump station". The Garbage disposal is wired with a 6' pigtail and I plug it into an exterior outlet on the trailer and use a power strip with on/off button to turn on the Garbage disposal. Works like a champ...

This has two important functions.FirstWhen you just don’t feel up to wrestling the ole stinky slinky just to lower the grey water level you can hook up an old garden hose. Very convenient.Second, probably the most importantIt is a handy spare cap. If you get caught rolling down the road without a cap on your waste tanks you’ll either end up on social media or having an uncomfortable chat with someone.

I have seen a few of these caps that do not have a hose connection on them. I appreciate the ability to have a simple way to drain the header if one of the valves is leaking without essentially opening a three inch pipe. Slowly opening a 3/4 inch hose connection into a catch container is so much more controlled. Don't have leaking valves too often, but when one does happen it is nice to be able to manage it until time is available to replace the seals / valve. They even make a clear one with the 3/4 inch hose connection if you want to be able to see if there is leakage before you take the cap off.

This is exactly what I needed for the waste water outlet on my motorhome. Good secure fit and a normal UK hose attachment fits the threaded outlet. (But note- a cheap UK discount brand didn’t quite fit but a more expensive household name brand did fit. That’s not a fault with this item though). Quality product.Was delivered to UK with no additional postal charge and arrived well packaged by the advised delivery time.
