These are suited for morsels of salmon, great for a yakutori grill. I'm used to cedar planks where I can have a big ol piece of fish, but this is more for appetizers...or maybe if you just want a bit of cedar smoke without overpowering the fish.I had to soak a little longer than expected to get the flexibility I needed.I had a learning curve, but now that I've shared my tips, you should be good to go!

These cedar wraps impart a generous amount of flavoring to salmon or other fish and are straightforward to use. I used them on my gas grill and my guests definitely distinguished the added flavor. I will note, however, that the size of these wraps is rather small. I had to use two for each filet and the filets were pretty standard sized.

I recently tried the Langxinese 20 Pk Alaskan Western Red Cedar Wraps for grilling, and I’m absolutely in love with them! These wraps have completely elevated my BBQ experience, especially when it comes to grilling fish, shrimp, and even vegetables.Aromatic Flavor Boost:The cedar wraps bring an incredible, smoky aroma to everything I’ve cooked. The rich, woody scent infuses perfectly into salmon and shrimp, giving them an authentic, flavorful taste that you can’t get from traditional grilling methods. My salmon has never been more flavorful—these wraps provide a nice, subtle smokiness without overpowering the fish.Perfect Size and Fit:The 5"x8" size is just right for wrapping individual portions of fish or shrimp, and they fit perfectly on the grill. I love that they’re easy to use and hold together well during grilling, ensuring that your food is nicely steamed and infused with the cedar flavor. They also allow for easy flipping, so there’s no worry of your food falling apart.Natural, Organic Cedar:The fact that these wraps are made from organic, solid Alaskan Western Red Cedar is a huge plus. I love that I’m using a natural product, and the quality is fantastic. They’re thin yet durable enough to handle high temperatures, and they’re perfect for grilling. Plus, they don’t release any harmful chemicals or unwanted flavors while cooking, making them a safe choice for anyone.Great for a Variety of Foods:While I initially purchased these wraps for grilling salmon, I’ve since used them for shrimp, vegetables, and even some chicken. They work great for a variety of grilling needs, and I can already tell these will be a staple for all my BBQs from now on. You can even use them for grilling other delicate foods or for steaming items with that added cedar aroma.Value for Money:This 20-pack offers great value! You get plenty of wraps to last through many grilling seasons, and each one is reusable if cared for properly. The price is very reasonable considering the quality and how much these wraps enhance the flavor of your food.Pros:Adds a delicious, smoky aroma to grilled foodsPerfect size for individual portions (5"x8")Made from organic, high-quality Alaskan Western Red CedarWorks great for salmon, shrimp, veggies, and moreEasy to use and durable for grillingExcellent value for the price (20 wraps)Cons:They are single-use wraps, but they can be reused if cleaned properly.Final Thoughts:The Langxinese Cedar Wraps have become a must-have in my grilling routine. They add an amazing flavor to seafood, veggies, and more, making every BBQ a success. If you’re a fan of grilling, especially seafood, these wraps will take your dishes to the next level. The original description says they are 7.5 x 7.5" They are 4 x 7" and I have to use two to get around the fish. Will check them next time I order, My fault for waiting too long, buyer beware!

These wraps were the first I ever got from an amazon seller thy were much smaller that the description claimed. They were supposed to be 5" x 8" but were actually 4.25" x 7.25". They were too small to use just one to wrap a piece of salmon so I had to use two on each serving I was grilling. Otherwise they were fine. However, due to the size, I will not purchase these again.

I like these cedar sheets, for the flavoring of course, but also to guard my salmon from falling through the grill. These sheets are really the best easiest way to cook on cedar.I soaked a cedar-sheet in cold water for about 15 minutes before using. You could also try wine or an aromatic “brine”. You could use multiple sheets to wrap a larger piece. I didnt let these thin sheets dry-out or char while grilling, so i can reuse them a few times as a wrap, although they used up the cedar aromas in a single-use. But thick cedar planks use up their aromas, too, and planks really only last two or three uses at most. For fun, I tried a trick to get grill-marks… I have a narrow piece of stainless-steel grating, and i wrapped that in with my fish. It heated enough to leave seared lines, and when i served it, i just flipped it over to show the marks on top! You can’t do that on a plank. Very nice-looking! And anyone who grills will ask how the heck you got grill-marks on tender fish :-)I’ll add this from my own thoughts on re-use. I treat wood that I’ve cooked-on as a food because it absorbs juices. I rinse and scrub with water within an hour after use. You can’t really use soap to clean cooking-wood without tasting the soap the next time you cook. I freeze the wood (really!) within two hours of use, and I keep the used ones no longer than 2 or 3 months just like you would treat the food you cooked on it, because there’s food juices in it.

I always wanted to try out cedar wraps for salmon. I do think there may be a learning curve, however, because though I soaked these for plenty of time and followed the packaging, the wraps seemed to not work quite as I'd have expected, or as pictured. For some small-sized pieces of salmon, one sheet would not cover the entire fish, so I followed the 2-sheet per method. We weren't able to grill because of snow, so we tried these under the broiler. I don't think the effect is anywhere near the same as on the grill, because the cedar notes were barely distinguishable in the fish. I do think though that this is a good product and that once I get it on the grill instead of the oven, that we'll see the full potential.

Usually cedar wraps are almost the size of the package they come in. These are half the size, hence the # is higher but to wrap a typical salmon steak, i need to use 2 and tie them together around the fish. Why do u make them this small, won’t buy again.
