The pressure reducer valve (PRV) needed to be replaced in our home. I called a plumbing buddy to get his opinion about the quality of these valves. He told me they have been making this same PRV for a lot of years and in an era when everything is getting cheaper, they are still top of the line. This was an exact replacement for my existing PRV so there wasn't any modification necessary. Easy to replace, took maybe twenty minutes. Turns out I didn't need to replace my existing PRV, it works fine. The locking nut on the pressure control bolt had come loose and allowed the pressure in our house to decrease. Of course, I didn't check that before I replaced it. Duh! Anyway, the new one is installed and will last long after I'm dead and gone.

Product contains a slip union which allows old valve to be removed and matches the new valve. Just need to use two wrenches to prevent twisting the incoming pipes. Be sure to insert the 2 o rings supplied correctly.

The pressure reducer valve arrived on time and appears legit. I think overall this is an overpriced product but that's not Amazon or the manufacturers fault in my opinion. A sign of the times...Installation was simple but I was replacing a worn out exact same valve so i didn't need to made any adjustments. But even if I needed to alter the plumbing, this is a straight-forward product. No complaints (besides inflation).

I have extremely high water pressure and replace every 5 years. Watts has not let me down yet. They also arrived much sooner than expected.

I've used this before and I bought it again, so that tells you something. It's easy to install and easy to adjust the pressure. The label shows the pressure range, maximum input pressure and the pressure setting when you receive it, as well as the reference number. All very useful someday when it must be replaced. I don't know how long the original lasted, but I would guess that it was over 15 years on a hot-water line. The two nuts on the bottom expose a screen filter and a bi-pass screw. Both are useful.
