I bought the Vampliers actual pliers a while back and was super impressed with them. So when I was looking for a good pair of craft scissors I figured I'd give Vamplier a look and was happy to see not only did they have scissors, but they, like the pliers, are made in Japan. They're excellent quality. The finger holes aren't very comfortable (possibly because I have xtra large hands and am left handed), but they'll happily cut through just about anything reasonable and still enter "sailing" mode when cutting wrapping paper after heavy use.

Confirming all the other five-star reviews. Highly recommended all-purpose scissors. An essential tool for home maintenance and beyond.Do check the availability of the same item sold under the Engineer brand, as you may be able to save a few dollars that way.

Very sharp, cut through heavy CAT6 (23AWG Shielded w/ 600V Insulation) like butter and show no signs of getting dull or any looseness in the hinge pin. I don't cut anything bigger, so can't speak to how it would be with larger gauge wire. Anything more than 16 or 18 stranded you should probably be using diagonals anyway. The serrated region (where I do all my business) grips the cable so it doesn't squeeze back out when cutting. The unserrated area edges are very sharp to the touch - be careful. The holster is simple and confirms the tool all the way stowed with a nice click. Overall, I love them and use them way more than I had originally thought I would.

I bring these almost everywhere with me in my pack. They just always come in so handy. They’re capable - they cut through thick material no problem. However, they’re good enough for delicate precise cutting too. Heck, you can probably prune plants outside with them too. I’ve had them for about 6 months now and haven’t had any issues. The sheath they come with is perfect. I don’t see any signs of these falling apart or even dulling.

After reviewing these carefully, I think they are worth about $20. The metal components are fairly well made and the shears are quite sharp, and they do provide several functions. However they are fairly light-weight, and the plastic handles do not feel substantial or high quality. My impression is that they will crack if dropped onto a concrete floor in the garage. The plastic cover/case does not fit well, and snaps together with a rather insubstantial snap. The cover will not stay attached if the shears are subjected to rough handling, such as in a tool box or bucket filled with many other tools. This is my first venture into the Vampliers brand and I can't say that I'm too impressed. Considering these are loudly touted as Made in Japan, I was expecting better. These are style over substance. Basically these are just decent scissors, nothing really special to warrant the premium price. My advice: keep looking.

Very well made and good price. I own several vampire tools and really like how well they perform.

These are awesome little utility scissors. We keep them in the junk drawer in the kitchen and use them to open Amazon packages and such. Very sturdy construction.

I'm a mechanic for a state agency I'm often in a situation where I need a knife. However a automatic OTF or a folder is seen as a weapon that WILL BE CONFISCATED!I carry this instead of a pocket knife when around "normals" they don't clutch their pearls or have concerns for their personal safety.Works I'm my application very well.Doesn't handle insulation well for stopping wires. The box opening bit is kind of goofy.Id buy it again if I lost it100%
