I don't change strings very often, but this tool appealed to me because of it being rechargeable, easy to use, and functional. I was very frustrated when I discovered that I could not find the actual piecem that goes over the turnkey! It is prett much useless without it. I wrote to the company and they responded right away, and sent me a replacement part right away. This kind of support should be rewarded. It seems very well made as well.

A full charge doesn’t last as long as it should, but it’s a must have when tuning new strings.

This product stinks. Complete waste of money. It is NEVER charged. The key chuck falls off when trying to loosen or tighten strings. Very sorry i purchased this particular tool. Every time i attempt to use it, it isn't charged. Absolutely frustrating.

I didn't use the cutter or puller. The windy parts works well. Not too fast, not too slow. You can wind right up to tune, but I backed off sooner.

Upon receiving this I proceeded to start a string change on my two guitars after charging it up for two hours. It only made it through the first guitar and after the first string on the second guitar, it died. Now I have a set up where I can use it plugged in, so that is fine. However if you need to use this unplugged, do not buy.

Charged it when it came in and I’ve done 4 restrings since. Works great and feels ergonomically right. Speed is just right, easy to wind without worrying about over tightening a string. Makes it super easy to get a nice professional wind on any string. Highly recommend.

I excitedly bought the first Vangoa electric winder, and after some time, it was duly delivered to Australia. While I was waiting, I decided to surprise my friend, and ordered one for him as well.Once mine arrived, I charged it up, and I was delighted by the speed in which I could wind on new strings. However, the battery seemed to be running low after one string change, so I charged it overnight. A week later, I commenced another string change on a different guitar and went to use the Vangoa electric winder. In the 7 days since being fully charged, it had all but lost its charge. Frustrated, I charged it for a couple of hours and it had enough charge to complete the string change—but only just.I subsequently recharged it overnight again. Five days later, I proceeded to change the strings on a 3rd guitar. I checked the string winder. The battery was so flat that the winder was unusable.I immediately contacted my friend, who already knew about the problem I was having. He told me that he had the same charging problem with his Vangoa winder! It simply isn’t good enough that 2 Vangoa electric string winders, costing over AUD60 each, should have faulty batteries that make them ostensibly unusable. I want my money back but I see no recourse to getting it. Buyer beware!

My only negative is the short charge life. I have 10 guitars including 3 12 strings so it gets a lot of use. Luckily I can leave it plugged in to the charger.
