Last year, my wife got me a Hola! Music A Style Mandolin, and it was great. But I wanted the F style, so I bought the Vangoa F-Style Mandolin for a Christmas gift for me and I must say it is well built and well worth the money, and is good too. Now the accessory pack is everything you need but really could the stap be one for a mandolin instead of a guitar? A great product for the money.

I HAD TO SETUP INTONATION STRING TO FRET HEIGHT AND LOWER THE BRIDGE AND BUY AN OPTIONAL ARMREST FOR IT. STANDARD SETUP FOR A NEW INSTRUMENT. IVE PLAYED MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE MANDOLIN AND FOR THE PRICE I PAYED COMPARING TO GOLD TONE, I HAVE A GOOD INSTRUMENT AFTER PROPER SETUP FROM THE FACTORY DEFAULT SETUP. I PLAY IT HARD AND IT TAKES ALL I GIVE IT. THE ONLY DRAW BACK IS THAT THIS INSTRUMENT COMES WITH NO ADJUSTMENT BAR INSTALLED IN THE NECK AS THERE IS NOT ONE IN MINE. ITS A GREAT VALUE OPPOSED TO $900 AND MUCH HIGHER PRICES. IT DOES ITS JOB FOR NOW AND IM CONTENT WITH MY PURCHASE. YHANKS VANGOA FOR YOUR PROFESSIONALISM AND CRAFTSMANSHIP.Revision,Mon. Sept. 23: I HAD TO FILE THE NUT DOWN TO ACCEPTABLE ACTIONING ESPECIALLY ON THE FIRST FRET. LOWERED ALL 4 STRINGS IT IS MUCH EASIER ON THE FINGERS NOW AND NOT A MEAT SHREDDER! SETUP IS NOW COMPLETE RE: THIS INSTRUMENT REALLY NEEDS A TRUSS ROD BADLY FOR SEVERAL REASONS BUT THE MFG. EVIDENTLY TO CUT COST DID'NT CALL FOR ONE. IF IT HSD A TRUSS ROD I WOULD PUT IT UP AGAINST SOME TOP NAMES. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR UNFORTUNATELY BUT I PLAY THE HELL OUT OF IT AND I'M PLEASED WITH IT CONSIDERING THE COST OF IT.THANK YOU VANGOA & IN THE FUTURE INSTALL TRUSS RODS!!!

Plays nicely. Set up from factory quite satisfactorily. Sound quality is good, bright, even with stock strings.I would have liked more figuring in the maple, the sound board is quite thick, and the tuning machines are extremely stiff and a challenge to turn.The only obvious "defect" is the endpin was installed crooked.

It’s a beautiful instrument just gorgeous… great workmanship, with that being said the tuning pegs are so hard to turn when tuning this mandolin, it’s just junk, it doesn’t matter how nice a mandolin this is, if you can’t tune it with ease … it’s not much of an instrument and it’s not a 5 star mandolin.

Beautiful finish, a bit heavy for my liking. Tuners adjusted easily and stay in tune. Love the bright sound of the f style. Usually I like thinks thick...but not on a mando. The wood is a little too thick. I think the sound would resonate better if it was thinner. I feel like the action is a little bit high, my fingers got tired more than my other mandolin. It's still fun to jam on, but favorite is still my A style. You get what you pay for.

For a beginner, worked out great. Paid a pro to set it up and could tell the difference. Would recommend
