I love this little product. It works just as advertised and makes mincing garlic a breeze. Very strong and easy to use and to clean.

This little item is an absolute gem. I was never so happy to get rid of my old garlic presses – one that I’ve had for more years than I can remember and one that belonged to my mother-in-law that I inherited when she passed – and that one was really old. I hated using them. I don’t have a great deal of hand strength so they were a pain in the butt. And chopping up garlic just never appealed to me. So when I saw a cooking video on YouTube and saw this thing being used, I was very intrigued.I love that Amazon has almost everything you could ever imagine – I went right to Amazon and here it was. I was delighted. This new toy for my kitchen arrived to me in a few days. I love that it came with a garlic peeler. I did not know there was such a thing. But there is and it’s fun to use and easy. And this rocker that minces the garlic for you is so quick and easy as to not to be believed. This also came with a little scraper to scrape the garlic into whatever you’re cooking and off the surface of the mincer. It’s sturdy – and while it looks small when it comes to you, it actually is just the perfect size for hands, both male and female. My husband loves it as much as I do when he cooks. And since I got it, I cook with a lot more garlic – mainly because it’s so easy I want to use the mincer. Before- recipes that usually called for garlic I would ignore or use some garlic powder. Not any more!!! This item washes up beautifully in the dishwasher as does the peeler, the little scraper tool, and the press. You cannot ask for better than that!!

TL;DR This is a handy device as long as you use it a certain way to reduce cleanup, are willing to prep your garlic more than product suggests for consistent results, keep all these separate parts together in your kitchen, and need to process at least a few cloves but much less than what you’d use a food processor for.First off, it works much better than the garlic presses (that extrudes into paste-like minced pieces) that I’ve owned. I can go through garlic without having to re-feed it like I had to with my previous presses.==If you like that chunky paste-like consistency, this won’t be the device for you as the holes are large enough to make “near fine” chopped pieces.Now this device isn’t perfect. I haven’t nailed a pattern yet but I’ve had difficulty for some garlic cloves to be “chopped” with the rocker. Whether it’s due to a clove size, shape, age, outer skin toughness/moisture level, “smoothness” or a combination of those, it just mushes it and spreads out under the rocker instead of pushed through the holes.==To have better overall results, before using the rocker, slice the clove in half lengthwise. Using the rocker on the sliced side seems to give the holes a better grip as it gets pressed through. It isn’t what the video shows, but either they enhanced the “grip” of those cloves (maybe by making skin deep cuts) or they had “perfect cloves” for the device demo. Whatever the case, not all cloves will work perfectly with this device and may need one extra step if that’s the case. My first point still stands even with the extra slice step.Now for my major gripes:==Cleaning it still is a pain even with the brush. More often than not, I have to use the back end to pop the pieces out of the holes. Even with the sink spray nozzle, I usually can’t force all the pieces out. (Watery mess all over the sink though) To minimize clean up, I have to be accurate and go through all the garlic I need with as little of the rocker as possible. Basically, whatever time this rocker saves from manually chopping a few cloves easily goes into cleaning it. * A previous garlic press I owned had a grid of cylinders to push garlic out of the holes and cleans itself quite efficiently. Wish this rocker had something like that. With this in mind, there is a tipping point where using a food processor is more efficient and cleans easier.==This device pretty much requires all the other parts to function and be maintained efficiently but doesn’t have a way to keep them together. Sure the garlic “blade” can be substituted with the back of your knife but that brush/pick is needed to clean it. So if you lose it, you’ll have to keep toothpicks and maybe a toothbrush handy.Be sure to consider your general needs and whether the benefits outweigh the detriments before buying.

This product makes it very convenient to mince garlic. Usually I despise the process, my hands will smell like garlic and the process is tedious. With this gadget, you just roll it over the garlic and voila! Minced garlic is a breeze. It's easy to clean too.

This functions more like a large unwieldy garlic press rather than as a chopper. Half the garlic close remains on the outside of the device which then needs to be scraped off and chopped separately. The device is well made but not as efficient as a simple hand garlic press. And, it takes up more storage space.Get a high quality garlic press instead.

I eat a clove of garlic daily, with cinnamon and honey, for my health. I was chopping up very fine with a knife until I got this garlic press. It works amazingly well! It has simplified my garlic regimene and cleanup is a flash. I recommend for sure!

In our home, we cook with a lot of garlic. Grocery prices going up, it is cheaper and fresher to buy whole garlic. The device seems simple enough and sturdy, but it does not cut as easy as it should. The garlic needs to be pre-peeled and cut into several smaller pieces before using this device. If I am going to peel and cut the garlic before, I don't see the need for this device. If you try to press the garlic whole, it will crush, instead of cut. You are better off with a kitchen knife.

Easy cleaning and the silicone roll to peel the garlic is genius! You get 100% of the garlic unlike the traditional garlic press. What a great tool in the kitchen!

Incredible! I have a really good garlic press at home. For cottage I wanted something that would do the job but didn't cost much. This is it! Works really great with no effort and zero waste! I'm now getting one for friend of mine who suffers from problems with wrists. She can't use traditional garlic press, I'm sure she'll have no problem with this one!

Can't find anything wrong it's practical to use and the green slive to the job right of piling the garlic. A bit small.

Requires more strength and leverage than I'd like but I I like the results and that you don't have to cut the garlic clove first and that there are fewer parts to wash (the can opener style ones have at least 2 parts)

This is a great design for easily mashing garlic gloves whilst cooking.It's easy to use, easy to clean and fits in your hand with the rounded large handle.It's best to give the garlic a little press or bash to stop the clove from slipping out on the chopping board but doesn't require much rocking pressure to end up with minced garlic to scrape into the pan.Great product.
