This is the first par meter I’ve used so I have nothing to compare it to. It does seem to give stable and consistent readings with all of my lights. It seems to be well built and connecting to the app was simple.I’ve been using it for seedlings. I have my light at 250 par according to the app and the seedlings are happy and growing just as expected. I can’t say there’s much more they could do to improve it. Overall I recommend the purchase if you don’t want to drop hundreds of dollars on a basic digital unit. I’d definitely buy it again.

Very accurate addition to my growing equipment...stop guessing how far ur lights should be n buy this par reader so u can get the most outta ur lights without burning ur plants!

Very easy to set up and use. Simple straight forward instructions. I just wish I had a different meter to compare these reading to. I have a meter on my phone(PPFD App) but, I don't know how accurate either is.. 🤷ðŸ¿â€â™‚ï¸ðŸ¤·ðŸ¿â€â™‚ï¸ðŸ¤·ðŸ¿â€â™‚ï¸..After using this a few times and comparing the readings to(what I believe is fairly accurate) the PPFD Meter App for Android, I feel confident enough to know I'm in the correct range.. I would suggest this product.

Does what it's supposed to do, and the app easily and consistently connects and stays connected to the meter. Also has a PAR recording function too if you wish to track PAR. As long as the app and hardware continue to work effectively together, this review will reflect that.

So far I really like the VBR-100 Plus. When I bought my lights I knew they were overkill but without a light meter I was in the dark knowing what my actual ppfd readings were. The only PAR maps for the spider farmer G1000 were at 12†in a 4x4 grow tent. This tool allowed me to map my room and better understand my grow area. I immediately went for max ppfd near light center and found that at 24†light hight I was seeing 1550ppfd. A friend with an Apogee PAR meter offered to buy a VBR-100 and check its accuracy. My only complaint so far is the location of the power button. It is far too easy to accidentally turn the unit off when picking it up to move to the next location while recording data for the grid. Currently the app grid function is limited to 6 rows x 6 columns max. It would be nice to have a larger grid capability. If the accuracy is reasonable this is a great tool to have!

The meter seems to work well enough for measuring light intensity, however they advertise that it will read lighting inside an aquarium. They even sell a more expensive version for this exact purpose. The item is exactly the same as the cheaper version, but to make it “waterproof†they send it with a heavy duty waterproof bag. This would have been fine if it actually did work, however once it is submerged in the aquarium inside the bag, the signal is lost and no readings are visible… I tried multiple different ways and the deepest I could get it to connect to the phone was ~6 inches deep… not exactly what I had hoped for.Just beware that this unit will read lighting levels, however not underwater if this is the specific reason you are purchasing it for. This was my intention and likely will need to be returned shortly.

Dobry produkt. Odczyty są bardzo zbliżone do odczytów innych budżetowych mierników i wydają się realistyczne. Wystarczy zdać sobie sprawę, że to nie sprzęt laboratoryjny i cieszyć się możliwością pomiaru PAR w trzech podzakresach (R G B). Pomiary te są prawdziwe a nie symulowane (testowane z lampami R+B i latarką). Polecam.

La verdad, básico para cualquier tipo de cultivo con luz artificial. Si no sabes cuánta radiación fotosintética le llega a la planta, estás trabajando a ciegas.
