Bought this to test my 10 month old car battery on my car which dropped from 12v to 9v on a cold day. Was able to recharge my battery with a battery charger. Testing the battery with this tester the battery CCA results came back as 692- 696A each time I tested regardless of whatever input current CCA I was selecting. While the whole time the battery charge level showed on the low side.This got me to the conclusion that my battery's health although is excellent, it isn't being charged enough as we dont drive the car for more than 5 mins when we take it out.All in all this is a simple tool that gets the job done as expected.

have you ever looked at a car battery and wondered if it is good or bad? Or "listen" to your car and try to determine if you battery is good? Have you ever seen your interior lights or headlights flicker or dim as you started you car? Or make the trip to the auto store so they can do a free battery check? Well this device takes all the guess work out your wonders. It is very accurate and very easy to use. And I am sure if you are reading this, you know how to fix cars/and thus you have others who come to you for advice. It seems the battery is the heart of the car, especially new cars with all their electronics! Ever have a module lock up or freeze up after starting your car? this is the first place you want to check. Most batteries these days last 3 years at the most. I work at a car dealership and see it everyday! I deal with hundreds, maybe just shy of a thousand cars-trucks every year. This tester proves to be accurate as the dealership battery checkers we have. It is very easy and very quick to use. On my own vehicle-a 2018-the starter sounded like maybe a bit "slower" cranking when I started my vehicle, my vehicle was 3 years old. The factory 3/36 bumper to bumper was gone, so I tested the battery and it showed the battery health 45% (not the pic I posted) As I said I work at a dealership, and no amount of "recharging" / "topping off" will ever bring your battery back to original strength, it will only get worse. To save me time and money, I tested my battery determined the battery was on it's way out. I bought a new vehicle battery and you could hear the "pep" in the starting immediately! Even if you bought a new battery, it doesn't mean it is perfect or 100%, and you can't tell by looking at it, but this device will tell you how good your battery is. This will save you time and trips to the shop.

My 18 month old new car battery just died and it had to be replaced (under warranty). So, I bought this to test my 22 month old new Nissan Rogue battery. Sure enough, it needed charging. Only 36% state of charge. Great tool to have. Especially when you don't drive many miles. BTW my new replacement battery only had a 62% charge. So, I charged it up to 100%. Time on Dealers shelf, I guess. Should have bought a tester years ago. One star off because clips don't open wide enough to attach to my battery posts. So, I had to clip onto the post straps. Probably couldn't use on my battery if it wasn't in a car.

Everybody should have one these things, it works. A five year old could use and diagnose a battery. Keep it in the car. Use with any friends or neighbors to help them.

This small device is much more than what I thought I was buying! I had several old batteries of various size around, and after seeing some stuff on the Internet, I thought I'd try to desulfurize them. So I bought this inexpensive battery tester to monitor my efforts. I've now used it many times to check the batteries' condition to see if I was bringing them back to life with my desulfurization experiment. This little tester impressed me greatly as it was able to track the smallest changes. Overall, the desulfurization experiment was a total failure, but since I've got a car, a pickup, two tractors, and two riding mowers all with batteries, there were many more chances to use it! There are several videos online that gave me the impression you had to go through several steps each time you use it, but that's not the case. Read over the instructions, watch several of the videos, and merge the info. You'll find it does a lot if needed. But it's worth the $ if you only use it to check your car battery. For me, it is money well spent.

I'm a bloke. I need a tool for just a one-off job. What do I do? I buy it, use it once and then file it away in the man cave (along with the battery charger). Having said that, it worked really well for the intended job,. Checked voltage and CCA so saved me buying a new battery.

Le produit est de bonne facture et semble solide...je viens de faire un test sur la batterie Gel de cellule de mon Camping Car... rapide pour donner les infos de santé.Par contre notice en anglais, pour rappel il devrait y avoir la langue Française... même s'il est vrai qu'il est possible de le mettre en Français... il reste des parties non traduites comme Cranking !
