As an instrumentalist, this is perfect for my music stand. (NOTE: It will not easily work with a fold-up style stand, but will work with an adjustable Manhesset stand.) As a music leader of a choir, it works GREAT at illuminating the music without glaring in the eyes of those I am directing. The light has two brightness levels: Low and High. In all situations thus far (4 occasions in 1 week), I have found the need for the High setting, rather than the Low. I was very concerned about blinding the eyes of people in the congregation, but my husband checked it out from multiple seats in the chapel. After the opening hymn, he stated it works great for the congregation, but it still shines in the eyes of people behind me if I move too far from the music stand. For the second hymn, I slightly lowered the adjustable "head" of the light, and the report was that it was better.If the manufacturer were to make an improvement, I would only suggest that the lights be retracted slightly inside the "hood".My husband thought that its material (plastic) would break too easily. Not so. The unit is solid. I have dropped only once (on carpet), and it didn't affect the unit.Another possible suggestion would be to provide a protective carrying case to safely store it in a music bag or case, however, I found it transported easly and safely inside an oversided purse that I I use for my music, baton, and other items.I rate this item 5 out of 5 stars!

This is a nice clip on light. It has varying brightness by pushing the power button. I have used it for a few hours on the first charge and no issues. It clips well to a wood lectern about an inch thick. I’m using this in a Sunday School class.

Amazon has five highly rated battery operated LED piano lights that I was evaluating. Since I could not decide on which one to buy without looking at each one in person, I decided to order all five of them. I evaluated the Vekkia model, as well as the Kootek Clip-On 10 LED, the Maestro Gear 10 LED, the Long Beach Music 10 LED and the Lumiens L9 with 9 LED bulbs. I found that all but the Maestro were almost identical in design, function and look. The Maestro has two arms which can be adjusted, but I found this feature to be of little use and not a show stopper. All of the brands came with included batteries and charger, with the exception of the Vekkia, which only came with non-removable batteries and no charger (you charge this model with a regular cell phone charger). All models, except the Vekkia has the light power button on top of the battery compartment on clip, which made it inconvenient to operate when sheet music is in front of it. The Vekkia model has the power button on top of the light shade, which made it very easy to access, even with sheet music or a music book in front of the light. The Vekkia is the only model that has a downward rear extended light shade to eliminate any spurious light to be cast toward the audience or other performing members. All models have at least two light intensity settings. The Vekkia has three light intensity settings and two light temperature settings. The light intensity on all of the models is adequate, but the Vekkia has the brightest and most light color versatility. After taking all factors into account, we decided on the Vekkia LED piano light. We have had the light now for some weeks and are glad that we chose this brand and model. We are very happy with the light and would highly recommend the Vekkia to anyone in need of a well-built, versatile and excellent priced piano light.

Works well, but rechargeable battery life is fairly limited (only a few hrs) on highest intensity... BUT Medium intensity seems quite adequate and rechargeable battery life is MUCH longer (many hrs) when used on medium intensity. On High intensity you will be doing a lot more recharging so I recommend using this lighte on Medium intensity which seems adequate and I only need to recharge 1-2X/month. Recharging is not difficult but takes time, attention and monitoring and light may be out of service when you need it or while recharging (you can press a button to view remaining battery charge). It's a good product that I use daily and is much more convenient with less frequent required charging when used on Medium intensity... I would recommend and repurchase.

I really like this light, which I bought for my piano. The clamping action is quite strong and the flexible neck allows you to adjust the light to the desired position. The USB cable does not come with an adapter. I purchased the adapter and have the light plugged-in at all times. The light has 3 intensity and 3 temperature settings. At the highest intensity, the music sheet is well illuminated. Since the piano is in our family room, we use the lowest setting as a night light. Overall this is a nice product and I highly recommend it.

Magnificent piano light! The variable light intensity is quite useful. The only drawback is the need to periodically charge the battery. Solution? Buy two and switch off.

To be fair, I use mine in a blacked out voiceover recording booth. And I can manage with it only on the 2nd brightness setting. But even on the brightest setting, I can do a solid 2 hours of voiceover work and only use up one bar in the 5 bar battery life. So excellent battery life.The unit is fully adjustable and I can get it just the right angle to not cause glare or shine in my eyes. The unit itself is lightweight and does not weigh down my music stand. The weight (if any) is wisely put in the base where the clip is, ensuring a good stable 'clamp' to whatever it is holding on toThis unit also permits USB-C charging which makes any phone charger lying around usable as well, so very convenient. Also, there is a great little meter which lights up while charging, showing you how much charge is left and how long charging will take (or when it's done).This has to be one of the best purchases I made this year. I can't recommend this 'clip light' enough. There are loads to choose from, but Vekkia has a well established reputation with musicians and orchestra folks that require a small light for their music stands. I'm glad I went with these guys. I think the competition are similar but really only knockoffs of this Vekkia.Buy with confidence, the high reviews speak for themselves.

I think this is one of the best purchases I have ever made! It is easy to charge, the charge lasts for ages, and there are different levels of light to suits all situationsI bought it for concerts - it clips neatly to the music stand and is designed not to dazzle other players.But I also use it for marking books in the evening or reading. The clip has a flat base so it can stand as a mini table lamp. It really is versatile!
