This is the rechargeable version, the other style uses "AA" batteries. Both styles are very bright on full charge and decently sturdy, the clip seems solid enough so far. I use one as a small closet light, or lighting a desktop work area, and as a reading light at night so pretty versatile since the LEDs are bright enough unlike some older versions I've tried. The rechargeable version is holding a charge for around one hour on high setting and continuous use. Very nice, I've bought 2. A little pricey but the quality and brightness make it worth it.

I use it on battery power. It requires 3 AA batteries. No flickering. Nice, steady light on both settings, fully bright or somewhat dimmed, I would describe as "daylight" type illumination. I use it mostly to do detailed landscape artwork at night. It clips handily to a clipboard, at the top or sides, wherever I need it positioned so that no shadows are cast on the area I'm working. The next day, my work is consistent with what I complete during actual daylight hours. I've used it about 6 hours plus SO FAR on the first set of batteries with no dimming yet. Also, you could read anything with this light and it's easy on the eyes. Highly recommend.

Works very nice on my electric keyboard. Brightness is excellent. Picture in the ad is misleading though. It does not come with any cord to use with the plug in adapter for usb charging. Requires 3 AA batteries to work.I would recommend this for sure!

I had another light very much like this one that was rechargeable, but the ON/OFF switch finally wore out. This time I purchased this one powered by replaceable batteries, and I'm careful to carry some extras in my gig bag. This one uses 3 ea AA cells, and due to the luminaries being LED, a set of battery cells will last you a long time. This light has a 4-stage push-button toggle switch that alternates between ON-BRIGHT-DIM-OFF in that order. It's pretty easy to run your batteries down prematurely by turning the light to DIM when you think you've turned it off. It's a great little light, and broadly illuminates an entire Manhassett music stand's desk.

I purchased the light for my daughter who plays the flute. It has a bright light that covers the music on the entire music stand. Very pleased with this purchase.

This light delivers light to the subject very well. The switch has three settings: OFF, HIGH, and LOW. When I hit the switch, it goes to high. When I get ready to turn it off, I hit the switch and it goes to low. And it is so low, that it doesn't appear to be on unless I look right at the LEDs. So I have to remember to hit the switch TWICE to turn it off. Many times I've hit the switch only once, come back hours later in a dark room only to see that it has been on low for all those hours. A different switch set up would be better: like, a HIGH button, and a LOW button (separate) and an OFF button that cancels both/either of the other two. OR an off button that actually turns it off.On the plus side, on LOW, it uses so little energy that the batteries last a long time even when I accidentally leave it on low for hours on end! 🤪
