Very sticky on wood slats. I bought 1x6x10 lumber at Lowes and had them cut them down (free) for the size bed slat I needed. Then I put this Velcro tape on the ends of each bed slat and fastened them down into the frame where they will never move. It was kind of hard to remove the tape backing though.

I use velcro for so many things. In comes in handy over & over. The adhesive sticks well & make it easy to use.

First off, if you're trying to hang something that weighs 5lb or more, you're better off using screws or nails. It works best on flat, smooth surfaces like plastic, metal, and marble. You can try it on more porous surfaces like wood or brick... but results will vary. With that said, this is fine for smaller items. You can mount them horizontally on a table or under an overhanging surface, or vertically on the side of a wall or some other vertical surface. It will even work well on a gently curving surface as long as BOTH sides that you're sticking together have matching curves. But make sure the surface is CLEAN before you apply them or the adhesive will fail before long. It's a single roll of "hook" style Velcro, and a single roll of "loop" style Velcro wrapped together. So you'll pull from TWO ends to cut your Velcro to the right length for what you need. It is NOT double-sided Velcro tape. The "hook" Velcro gets taped (by self-adhesive) to one of the things you're trying to stick together. The "loop" Velcro also has a self-adhesive back and it goes onto the other thing you're trying to stick together. Then you press to stick the Velcro together. Pull to separate the Velcro. The Velcro will separate without peeling the adhesive off, if you installed it right, so you can put the thing back again and it will still stick. If you know what Velcro is... this is that, but on two rolls of sticky tape.It works best on flat, smooth surfaces like plastic, metal, and marble. You can try it on more porous surfaces like wood or brick... but results will vary.I don't recommend using lengths less than 1.5 inches long, since that's not enough exposed Velcro to create a good hook/loop bond. So if you're trying to mount a tiny item... maybe look for some double-sided tape or hot glue instead.

It is best to get name brand. I purchased some generic brand Velcro on Amazon and it was not very sticky and did not hold very well.I recommend this product because the name brand Velcro is much more sticky and reliable for holding something to a table or a wall (or wherever you want to put it). Also what I like about this product, is it gives you a roll of Velcro and you can just cut off the exact amount you need, and therefore it actually lasts a lot longer. Since you only cut the amount you need at a time.

I got the beige brand-name Velcro to put a small low back cushion at waist height on my nice new vinyl office/gaming chair. After about 6 months, it fell off, taking both sides of the velcro with it. The glue on the fuzzy side had turned into a slimy gray goo. It has been difficult to get off the creme-colored chair. Trying to figure out what glue to use on it to fix it, and how to best get the existing goo off the chair and tape without damaging the chair or tape.Oddly, the hook side on the back of the cushion (with the same vinyl) is fine. This is in a room that is 73° +/- 3° year around. It seems Velcro had a bad batch and unloaded it on Amazon....What else could have caused it?

Velcro makes the best tape, I use it all the time, whether it's to hang a picture, or something I sewed that needs to be closed.

I used it to install lightweight under- cabinet lighting that I purchased from Amazon. Tried 2-way tape, but this is far superior. No mess. It was recommended to me and I only wish I had used it before I made such a mess with glue and sticky tape.
