My original FIOS battery that was installed about 8 years ago finally died this past weekend. It has kept making these beeping noise and sometimes I couldn't get a dial tone on my landline . Finally the battery has died and I finally found the same exact battery here on Amazon. It was delivered tonight so I was able to install it with ease. I pressed the reset button after it was installed. Lo and behold I got a dial tone. So far the new battery works. What I do not like about the battery is the price and I have to find a facility in my area that accepts used batteries .

Exact replacement for Verizon FIOS. During my last outage, the internet stayed up.

This replacement battery was easy to install. It fits perfectly in my Verizon Fios battery backup unit (BBU). When it arrived, I used a voltmeter to measure its voltage and it was 12.82 volts. It had a sticker on it saying it was topped up a few months prior. But after four weeks, it’s still working well, no issues. Hopefully it will last a few years. If it has issues sooner (e.g., less than a year), I may report back.

Original died after years of service when a tripped breaker let it drain. This went in easily and works well.

If you're hearing a strange chirping sound in the room or garage where your FIOS installation has its battery box, you probably need one of these. This battery replaced my tired FIOS battery. It can be a pain to get these out of the black plastic FIOS battery box if the box is mounted on the wall and blocked by stuff in storage, but overall, it's an easy job and takes only a few minutes. Unfortunately, these batteries last only about 2 years. They're supposed to be rechargeable, but the positive and negative poles are not actual poles; they're little metal tabs that won't work with typical automotive battery charger spring clamps. Battery tender clamps may fit.

My FIOS panel started beeping in my basement and prior to that I was getting warnings on my smart TV that the WiFi signal was lost every few hours. I thought it was my TV and didn’t like that since the Sony is less than a year old. Well after the wife with great hearing said something is beepin the basement I went and looked at the FIOS bow and the replace battery light was glowing. I opened it up and it seemed to be relatively simple to do. A search on Amazon found replacement batteries for about half the cost but then I saw this one and it was the exact same manufacturer and model number of the failing battery. The failed battery had lasted for 10 years and I figured that was an indication of quality and besides Verizon doesn’t want to deal with upset customers because a back-up battery fails every few years. It took 5 minutes to replace it.There were some instructions on the cover panel for resetting the box so it would recognize the new battery but I could not get satisfaction that had happened. So I did what we all do when something electronic doesn’t work, I unplugged the box from the 110V power outlet, counted to 20 and then plugged it back in it restarted and synced up and all is good. No more failed WiFi warning from the TV and the phone stayed working during a 5 hour power outage that occurred a couple of days after this new battery was installed. My experience on this and a few other electric devices and motors is stick with the original equipment manufacture battery if you want to have a trouble free experience, or go cheap aftermarket and get to become an expert in changing the battery every couple of years. Go cheap and go broke!
