I had read reviews online about these strings and wanted to try them out. I had previously used Larsen Solo on my cello and thought the A string was too bright for my instrument especially next to the D straing. I found the Versum extremely versatile, beautiful sound and in complete balance with the D string of the same set.I love them.

A string broke after one month of fairly light use. Never happened before with Larsen or Jargar

I’m about to play a wedding solo and was looking for anything to improve my sound on the upper strings. I was already using Versum but not the soloists and I was so desperate for anything to help that I figured I’d splurge and try these. They help so much with my sound in 4th position- it’s less “whiny†as I call it and much fuller. I’m happy with the regular Versum on my G and C for now but I’m glad I went for these on my A and D! My higher notes are more mellow- I’m not so concerned about the audience’s ears now! ;)
