I had never worked on an AC unit before and decided to replace a bad AC split unit with a heatpump as a DIY project. Even with having to buy all the tools, I did the job for under $1k, including the heat pump. The lowest quote from an HVAC company was a ridiculous $9K. I bought this gauge set and pump to create the necessary vacuum in the lines before releasing the coolant. I also used it to connect my air compressor to the lines beforehand to pressure test all of the flare valves. This kit did not have the adapters necessary for connecting to air hose lines, but the line flush kit I bought did, so with that combo I could do positive pressure test and pull a vacuum. (Note- pros typically use nitrogen for pressure testing rather than air to avoid humidity in the lines. I ran my vacuum pump extra long after this to help get out any humidity I might have introduced using air). The pressure testing was worth it as about half of my flare nut connections had small leaks and needed more torquing.The kit arrived OK, but the bit of oil left in the compressor from testing leaked all over everything during shipping. I had to spend a lot of time cleaning up the oil and wiping everything down afterward.The leak detector did not work well at all. It either went off all the time when the sensitivity turned all the way down or wouldn't go off at all even in the presence of a coolant leak that I could hear from the old system, unless maybe that wasn't a coolant leak. Either way, I don't trust it.The vacuum pump seemed to work well, though you can't get a very precise vacuum reading from the gauge set. I let it run for 15 minutes and hoped that was enough to get the vacuum below the 500 microns recommended for the new heat pump.The hoses were all long enough for my needs and the seals worked well with hand tightening. I used the R410A adapters and they worked well.All in all, I give this 4 stars with points off mostly for the oily mess and partly for the untrustworthy leak detector. I can recommend it for the DIYer on a budget. Maybe someday I will need to use it to check charge levels in one of my other ACs, so it will be good to have around.

Included more than I expected. Did the job. I replaced my a/c compressor and need to get it charged. Ordered this and pulled a vacuum and charged it cheaper than any shop

I’ve bought multiple Vevor products while holding my nose that they are made in china but I must admit it seem they do make a good product. It pulled a strong vacuum and worked like it should.

Unlike the pump I purchased first. This vevor set was able to pull enough pressure to recharge my mk7 gti ac system. manifold set felt like great quality to and was easy to assemble with no leaks.

Right away I open it up and the oil has leaked out of the pump and it is now coated in it and the cardboard box it was in is soaked with pump oil. Running the vacuum pump for 30 minutes and the outside was extremely hot to the touch probably hot enough to burn you.The gauges are decent quality but I wish the markings were more clear especially for the vacuum considering this is literally a vacuum pump set, but the rest of the manifold was solid and the valves and couplers seem to be as good as the harbor freight equivalents.WARNING: The freon tap is for the pre-2018 non-self-sealing cans, so you will likely need to buy a tap or otherwise hack it to make it work. I used a thinner o-ring to bypass the valve closure and was able to get the job done.Ultimately it did the job and was a very cheap option.

Bought it to pull the vacuum in the mini split lineset.Works as it should and totally worth the cost. Even if used only once.

I was able to vacuum and charge the A/C in an IH 4700 DTE with ease, after a junction block seal replacement. Make sure to watch several youtube videos to understand the process.
