So far i’m extremely impressed with this Chinese heater. I must’ve read a thousand reviews like most folks and how too videos on installation tips. I could’ve gotten the same model for $20 less then the vevor, however the vevor had much better customer reviews when it came to contacting customer support for any issues. I’m far from being an engineer by any means but I’m pretty mechanically inclined and for anyone with a bit of common sense could rip one of these units down and put it back together in no time. I installed mine under the seat of my popup camper. It’s around 15 degrees out here and this thing has warmed up my little Coleman popup camper in about 45min to a comfortable i’m in my t shirt warm. Many folks mention the loud clicking of the fuel pump! YES IT IS, however it can be easily remedied with a couple simple modifications to your install. I wrapped mine in some foam rubber and mounted it inside a little styrofoam box I carved out of a packing box styrofoam chunk ! Anyhoot folks it works awesome. There’s a slow start and stop process as just like a diesel vehicle there’s a diesel type glow plug that needs to heat up and during shut down process it burns off any excess fuel, so VERY IMPORTANT, not to interrupt this process by cutting the 12v power supply or you’ll only cause yourself start up problems next time around. There are many YouTube tutorials and videos on installation and also on how to decipher instructions !!! I found many tips to be helpful in my installation. Also another important point. Make sure you pop your heater open and check that all bolts are tightened up including your glow plug. There aren’t many moving parts Or very much at all to these diesel heaters, in fact there pretty basic in operation, however it would truly suck to install your unit and run it only to find it wouldn’t start up or it runs, but you got a puddle of fuel laying underneath your unit after shutting it down. I read many of post with this very issue or watched people take them apart only to find that the head bolts were only hand tightened or even a glow plug that was basically just sitting in its seat, but not threaded all the way in.!!! Lmao I opened mine up and checked everything and all was good fortunately. Maybe mine was assembled on Thursday, who knows? LmaoHope this helps anyone looking at this vevor 8k. I love mine.Next will be longevity. I’ll get back in about 6 months.1/15/25 I’ve been running this heater nonstop since I installed it a couple weeks ago and it has run flawlessly. I’ve been changing the temperature settings up and down and also run it manual and by temperature setting. I have actually turned the heater off and on a few times with one shut down period lasting a day just to make sure there would be no restart issues. Again it operated flawlessly and restarted right up. I’m extremely impressed so far with this heater and believe it will serve its purpose of keeping my popup camper warm during cold camping.

This was installed in our camper van. The auto altitude adjustment worked well. We spent a month in Colorado skiing. We lived between 7000-9500ft elevation. Temperature was between 5-30F. The 2kw is sufficient to kept us warm. We replaced the green fuel line with the stronger white ones. The pump noise was a little louder than the other heater we have as backup. But we got used to it pretty quick. The blue tooth app wasn't very useful. We are happy with the purchase.

I have a Vevor 8kW all-in-one heater with the integrated fuel tank and it works great. Almost too good. No issues.I also have this version of 8kW heater and after an extremely meticulous install in my Vanagon, it has been nothing but problems. It's completely DOA right now - just like when I first tried to turn it on. It didn't work until I completely disassembled and rebuilt it. Then it started to work, THEN, it was an avalanche of every error code available and a few that weren't. Upon shotgunning the glow plug with a replacement I got everything ironed out and it was running properly, I finished with the full install, poured myself a beer - and after a few minutes, it just went completely dead and that's how it's been ever since. The thing has voltage, it has a very, very steady fuel supply with poly hose and everything, it just stopped working out of the blue the moment I finished the install. Absolutely maddening. You don't want to rely on this thing for heat. They are buggy as all hell. I went through all the trouble of making space for the thing, cutting holes in my van, sealing around them, running the fuel hose and exhaust with great care and now I have a non-functioning unit. Buyer beware.

This is the second CDH (Chinese diesel heater) that I've purchased. So far, it's worked as described and I recommend Vevor heaters! I only gate it 4 stars due to the instruction manual. A few things to note:1) The instruction manual on this, and most, CDH's is useless. Fear not, there are many many many many how-to blogs and Youtube videos to help you with installation, parts upgrades, and controller set-up.2) Yes, many of the parts included are sub-par, so follow the advice of the bloggers and upgrade some essential hardware.3) One part that will almost certainly need an upgrade is the mounting plate. The plate included is flat. You will need a mounting (turret) plate that extends beyond the width of your floor to prevent any fumes coming back into the vehicle.4) The AUTO thermostat function with the included controller works; however, it has a wide temp window of -2 and +2 degrees, ie if you set the controller's Auto temp for the heater to turn on at 60°, the heater won't turn on until it 58 or even 57°.5) The 5kW Vevor heater's max watt/amp draw is around 125watts ≈ 10.5amps, only slightly more than most 2kW heaters. This only occurs as the heater is heating up the glow plug and when it's cycling down or cooling off. While it's running, depending on the temp setting, it's draw is only 15-35watts.

It took 3 days before we gave up. No instructions in box. No instructions online, Amazon didn't have any, manufacturer could not provide any. No youtube videos about this new remote anywhere. Frustrating. This was our second diesel heater. The older one worked great, kept us cozy in the mountains. We love Vevor and they honor their warranty with courtesy. We will continue buying Vevor products. We enjoy the screen room with wind panels we bought from them at a low price. We ended up using the old fuel heater after we found and fixed a kink in our fuel line that was causing our problem with it.
