Needed to drop the lower sub frame assembly to swap out upper oil pan. It held up the engine great, with no concerns during the process. The chains it comes with were too short for my needs (wanted to loop under engine mounts), so I had to use some other chains. Be sides that, great. Also used additional chains up top to ensure the bar did not shift forward or back. My vehicle did not have a lot of flat space up top to plant the legs and stabilize the bar, so I wanted to sure it up some more.

I saw my husband use this on his BMW and it worked so well and he felt secure and watching him go under the car and that engine, I too felt that he would be safe. He had used this for 10 days and it worked as advertised. I am writing this review for him as he uses my account to buy things for himself which works well for me and since I saw him for over a week work on his car. The price that he/we paid was the cheapest on Amazon and if you are thinking about if you should buy it or not, go ahead and give it a shot as it is worth every penny and then some.

This soild built, one of my spindle heads was burred and spent about an hour fixing that. Was missing another spindle head, but after two weeks I gave up on their customer service. They wanted picture after picture of the missing part, then wanted picture of all the parts. Wanted pictures of the parts list.

First used today. Does the job. To me this does not seem light duty, nor heavy duty, but pretty much status quo as automotive accessories go. Found myself nodding up and down saying yeah that should do it. There is a round washer full of bearings underneath the top clamps. I put a ton of grease and vaseline on the threads to reduce friction, especially since the threads catch on themselves a lot and are kind of rough. There is no hook or attachment included to connect chain to engine so I picked up a 3/8" Haulmaster quicklink rated at 600 lbs and custom ground/drilled a steel bracket to bolt to an engine attachment point.

Was waiting on it so I could start to work on my car, opened the box to find out that it's missing the legs and only has the rubber shoes. Extremely disappointed since I read a review that someone had the same issue!

I have been living with an oil leak from my BMW oil pan gasket for nearly a year. it started small but had developed into a very gross and messy constant drip that completely soaked the belly pan and left drips everywhere.The job required that you support/raise the engine and drop the subframe. Not a hard job but time-consuming. The support sets up very easily and did not move or give me any reason that it was not up to the task. My wife's car has the same engine and will eventually develop the same leak, so I will be sure to keep this handy for her job.

The adjustment knob for the standoff were not long enough when used with the fender washers that were supplied. They only grabbed about 2-3 threads of the standoffs. Other than that, it worked well.
