I have a steep hill down from where I keep my kayaks to the lake shore, so getting the kayaks down is easy BUT having to drag them back up the hill after hours of kayaking was absolutely exhausting! Insert this life (and back) saving winch! I ended up attaching it to a tree near my garage and use it to pull my two kayaks up the hill. GENIOUS! The winch easily handles the weight of the two kayaks and it's little to no effort on my end to crank both up. Now the only challenge is remembering to bring the hook down with me when I carry the kayaks down!

I got this winch to go on my trailer, but the trailer is a tilt trailer so I'm in the process of figuring out how best to mount it. The winch is very well made though, with a sturdy strap. I'm going to use it to pull dead equipment onto the trailer, like my old riding mower, or even logs. It's just a little tricky to figure out the exact mounting position, but I'm happy with the winch.

Ok, full disclosure, I did not use this for it’s intended purpose. However, I did use it for a PDR project on my vehicle and it worked great!I attached this to a homemade pull tower with a few shackles and D-Rings. This worked perfectly. Slow hand cranks little by little allowed me to hold position and relieve some stress on metal with a knockdown, etc. (I am not a professional at all. Just own an old truck with a a few dents and a lot of YouTube. Great product. Not sure about a boat, so no comment on that, but it works for me on other applications.

I got this for my husband to use for our business. I didn’t pay attention (nothing new) to the size. When it arrived I thought it was a bit big but hubby says it’s not the size but how it’s used! He really likes the detachable handle and the fact that there is a strap and not cables really impress this strap guy!!He has found multiple uses that are out of the ordinary for this and is looking forward to years of use and enjoyment from this winch.

Just have to add the handle and then mount it and it's good to go. Seemed well made and worked fine. Gears and crank worked as smooth as others I use. I think it's good to go.

I build a trailer platform/ cover and attached this winch to pull the trailer up the ramp onto the platform.Makes the process effortless! So much easier than trying to push or pull the trailer up the ramps by hand.
