Box was busted open!! Parts missing!!! Pin won’t fit the chain. Bolt to tighten swivel is too large or wrong nut was welded on. I would NEVER BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

I ordered this back on December 7 2024, it arrived in about three weeks with a gaping hole in the package, hemorrhaging nuts, bolts washers and lock washers as it was moved from the UPS truck with the driver suggesting I might want to refuse the delivery, and maybe I should have but I knew with Amazon I could order a replacement and I felt keeping what arrived until the replacement showed up might be my best bet at being able to build one complete unit if the second order arrived in similar bad package shape. Aside from pretty much all the nuts, bolts, washers, lock washers and small assembly hardware missing, it was also missing both of the legs as well. A month after placing a second order and asking Amazon to please extend my return time, the seller canceled that order! I had Amazon place a third order and extend my return again to be sure they overlapped at least two days so I would have time to see if I could make one complete unit. The third unit was the fastest, arriving in about a week and initially as it came off the UPS truck it looked really good but it too had a split seam on one end and had lost some of the loose hardware! As luck would have it, I was able to assemble one complete unit with just enough hardware. Now to why you need to purchase a 14 X 2.0 metric tap: It comes with a metal 1/2" diameter threaded rod that is bent to form a handle with a plastic ball on the end. This is used to tighten into the base and stop the rotation of the crane so it won't swivel on the 360 degree rotational bearing. It is metric male threaded (14 X 2.0) on the end that threads into a welded nut on the base. The problem WITH BOTH of the units I received is they welded a metric 12 X 2.0 nut to the base so the handle is larger that the nut and won't thread in! I ordered a 14 X 2.0 tap after first heading to the hardware store to find a metric nut that would thread on the handle so I could figure out what size and thread pitch tap to order, lol. The tap arrived today, I drilled and tapped the12 mm dia nut and was able to "fix" that issue. The handle threads in and does the job of locking the rotational movement. Mission accomplished and total time from 1st order to having a complete crane was 60 days. I mounted it on my full size 1 ton truck and discovered opening the tail gate won't clear the crane unless I remove 1 bolt on the 90 degree hitch adapter and slide it over so only one hole lines up and bolt it in that position. That will work fine for what I need to do with the crane but others might need to have the two bolts holding the hitch 90 degree adapter. I hope this helps someone considering this purchase, I'm happy with the end result, wasn't in a hurry and had the basic skill set to deal with the wrong size welded nut. Returning what's left over to UPS tomorrow.

Wrong size nut welded to frame to secure pivot point. Locking handle will not screw into it!

First try the Velor truck crane easily lifted a rock of about 500 to 600 pounds and loaded it and one other of equal size in the bed of a shell covered pickup truck!

The product came on time and for the most part is functional, but an important safety feature does not work. The screw intended to keep the lift from swiveling did not fit the threaded hole. It was several sizes too large. As of yet customer service has not been effective in handling the issue.Update - after calling and emailing customer service several times I cannot recommend them. Very disappointed. I will fix the problem myself with the correct part. I've given up trying to work with them.
