The lock is made from metal, so it seems durable and should last for a long time. It’s not complicated to install, and programming the code is simple.However, there are a couple of downsides: First, you can't combine two keys together. Second, the code isn’t ordered. For example, if you set your code to 1234, you can also unlock it with 4321. This means that if you set a 4-digit code, your lock will recognize 24 possible combinations, which slightly reduces security.That said, it's not a huge issue since the lock has 14 buttons, which allows for 16,383 possible combinations, making it quite secure overall.

Installation and setting the code are straightforward. However the lock’s handle position is upright (it should be leveled when locked) and is awkward to operate in a tight space. Also the handle is too small (also too close to gate) for larger hands. IMO the design is poor. But it’s functional.

I’ve installed similar devices before and this is a really good one! I like how this one has a solid bar that turns the locking mechanism. Some of the other ones have mechanisms that are more prone to being bent.

I can’t get the lock to work in the unlocked mode. I follow the directions to hold down the door lever and press the Y key and enter the code. Release the handle then the Y key it still remains locked.
