Don’t buy this lathe whin out of warranty you can’t buy replacement parts. My motor went bad called Vevor the said if in warranty they would replace the mortor but out can’t do.so my lathe is just scrap metal. Buy grizzly or harbor freight or any other brand not Vevor. Thay don’t care about their customers. Bad company be wear.

Honestly, not worth it. Especially for the price. Bought mine in March 2024 and have had multiple issues.First off, the tool rest and tailstock require you to use a large socket to loosen/tighten. Very secure, but also very annoying when you're trying to slide things down quickly.Secondly, the tailstock does not accept a bit for drilling holes so that's a big drawback. 4 months in I turned the machine on and there was a little spark, smoke, and the digital readout for speed no longer works.Third, the tailstock does not sit centered in the bed tracks. That means you have about 1/4" of play on either side of where the tailstock base sits so it won't be perfectly centered with the spindle, making your piece turn on a slight angle/wobble. Given the price, I would've expected the tolerance to be a lot tighter but it seems like they just used bent metal sheets to slap this together and didn't care.Lastly, the tool rest completely snapped in half right down the middle when I was using it. Looks like very low quality metal and didn't handle some vibration well. I've had other budget lathes and their tool rests, beds, tailstocks, etc are of a way higher quality metal than this $700+ unit. The copy attachment is pretty much junk too.The positives:-Was able to turn a 38" long piece of wood, until the tool rest snapped, which was cool.-The variable speeds are great and have a very wide range to tune in.-You can either use the legs/stand that came with it or mount the bed flat onto a table/bench without any issue. Just bolts right on through the holes meant for the legs so it was very easy, no modification needed.
