It’s good for its price. It’s fun to use when playing with friends as well as it hasn’t broken yet for me and it’s being used daily

This is a great set of table tennis paddles that will upgrade the game of most recreational players. The blades are well made of five-ply wood (poplar, I think), with two thin exterior sheets with three core sheets. The handles are flared, suited for a shake-hands (not pen-hold) grip. They are unfinished with contrasting stripes in them adding to a quality look to the paddles. The inverted-pip rubber (the most common style of modern paddles) is sticky and provides good spin.* The backing sponge is forgiving, providing a good balance of speed and control. The eight balls that are included are reasonable quality and compare well with any good practice or recreational ball. The case keeps the paddles and balls organized and makes it easy to bring them to tables where the "house" equipment may not be so good.* NOTE: Make sure that you clean your paddle's rubber after playing and store the paddles in a plastic bag or use protective sheets over the rubber to prevent dust and slow its oxidation. Both dust and oxidation (as well as oil from the skin) will cause the rubber to lose its stickiness and become smooth over time, reducing the paddle's ability to impart spin to the ball.I don't know that I'd go so far as to call this set "Professional;" in a sport where a single blade can cost several hundred dollars and the rubber sheets to go on it can easily be over a hundred dollars more, this set is quite a ways off that mark. However, the quality of the pieces is good and I am pleased to have this set and to recommend it. I believe that this set of paddles represents excellent value and a great way for most recreational players to upgrade their games.

These paddles excel in delivering remarkable spin, speed, and control, empowering players to execute their shots with finesse and accuracy. While the paddles deliver outstanding performance, their weight might be slightly heavier than some players prefer, potentially affecting swift movements for those used to lighter models. However, this minor drawback is easily overshadowed by the paddles' impressive capabilities.

Rating: 5/5TL;DR:Great affordable set for casual and recreational play. Set will be replacing my current house/ guest paddles. The cons are all minor and can be fixed by the consumer in a matter of 60 seconds of your time.Pros:•Good amount of tack on both sides for consistent spin.•Each paddle comes with both sides wrapped to protect the tacky finish.•Weight and feel of the paddles is very good for the price point when considering this is a set of four paddles.•Well made storage case that also works as a dust cover/ transportation for the set.(Minor) Cons:•Balls have a chalky white powder on them. The chalk leaves residue on the paddles when playing. I took a damp dish towel and wiped them all down and solved this instantly.•The microfiber towel is a nice addition, but I would recommend hand washing and letting it air dry before use. Had a little bit of dust and lint that transferred to the paddles when trying to wipe off the dust residue left from the first ball. After rinsing it was fine.

I'm in my forties, and I've been playing ping pong whenever I have the chance since middle school. This is a good ping pong paddles set for beginners who want to get four matching paddles, balls, and a storage bag. The rubber on the face of these paddles is smooth and glossy, make sure to remove the plastic wrap. The handle is nice and comfortable to grip, and the rough finish on the handle makes it non-slip. The sticky wrap around the paddle needs higher quality glue in all of the paddles because it peeled easily. The paddle's thickness is great, especially given its light weight. The ping pong balls are well made, and I saw no flaws in them. The carrying bag is a nice addition. The most disappointing aspect of these paddles for me is the feedback sound every time I hit the ball; it feels like there is a hollow inside the paddle despite its thick padding, which is a major no in pingpong paddles. At the price point of $29.99, I expected a more durable paddles.

I ordered this set to replace our badly aged and overused set of paddles at our clubhouse. We didn't have much budget to spend on new ping pong equipment (as it's not something high on the priority list), so I wanted to find something that performed well, but was affordable.I am pleasantly surprised with this set! Not only is it priced at a level you'd typically associate with the very entry level gear, but the performance is pretty close to what you'd expect for intermediate level play. The paddles have a good weight to them. Not too heavy, not too light. The rubbers on the paddles, likewise, have enough pop to them for more competitive players, but have great spin and grip to provide control for recreational players to keep the ball on the table. The handles are smooth and splinter free and the balls perform well, having nice stiffness and predictable bounce. All in all, this is a terrific set that exceeded our expectations!
