However, it fits my finger so I actually could use it! I have half dozen thimbles to sew with, so on the shelf it goes. It's very pretty; also smooth and large enough to use to sew.

I took a chance on this thimble and I'm glad that I did...it was a gift my daughter and she loved it, too.The thimble is just as pictured, and appears to be good quality. Great little vintage piece. No complaints.

The size dimensions on this are accurate. I have extremely short and wide fingers. Most thimbles do not even come close to fitting my fingers. This thimble does fit my desired finger with a little bit of help. The design is cute, and the metal is extremely thick and sturdy. It is a bit expensive, but worth it for something that fits. It does feel a bit narrow at the top, and I do wish it was a little wider there. However, it’s good enough for quick hand sewing whenever needed.
