If you're looking for quality homebrew supplies at a reasonable price, you've come to the right place. This 6 gallon pet carboy is the perfect piece of equipment for homebrewers making medium-large sized batches of brew. Polyurethane terephthalate (pet) is far more resistant to oxygen than regular plastic, making it the ultimate protection for your beer during fermentation. The plastic construction also protects against the possibility of breakage, and if you clean after use, the carboy should last for many brews to come. In stock and ready to ship. Features: made from polyurethane terephthalate (pet). 6 gallon Capacity. Used during fermentation.

Making slow gin in it. Perfect size and should last awhile.

Works great. So much easier to handle than the glass.

Arrived with heavy dents and creases already in the cheap, thin plastic. Spout is not the standard size so to use it you need to also order a #10 bung. I'll be returning it since one of the creases looks like it may have punctured the plastic and I don't want to run the chance of a leak.

It came with dents that won't pop out. It holds 6 gallons of liquid which is what I got it for.

Great option for years when grape production exceeds the norm and more carboys are needed. Would rather have glass carboys, but I won't always need to use these, so why spend the big bucks.

We picked this up as a backup carboy for brewing. I have two glass carboys. I am currently using it as a secondary fermenter for mead, and have used it a few times before this. It eliminates the stress of ticking a glass carboy and having it shatter, which is amazing. It is definitely sturdy enough to last a long time, and I have no complaints. I did need to buy a different bung/stopper, because the opening is around 2 5/8" ID. My glass carboy bung/stopper was way too small. Plastic is supposedly not as ideal because of the plastic being slightly breathable, but if you are not leaving it in there for extended periods of time, you are probably just fine- it would be like using the Brewer's Best bucket or similar. I haven't used this for wine, but I have used it for beer and mead, both as a primary and secondary fermenter. P.S. don't forget an airlock too, if you don't have an extra. Both the S curve style and the one with the floaty cap that ticks and rocks fit without issue.

This carboy is the right size to do a full batch of wine. It is extremely light in weight but tough also. We are working on a batch of wine right now and it is doing exactly what it should do. I am happy that it is light weight as the glass ones are very heavy and slippery. Very happy so far.
