Using a dense metal like tungsten creates a slim profile dart barrel compared to a dart without tungsten. The higher the percentage of tungsten used, the smaller the profile, allowing for a closer grouping of darts to maximize scoring. Intended for use with electronic dartboards and are ideal for intermediate-to-advanced level players. Each barrel has strategically placed knurled bands, deep grooves and rings that make excellent gripping points and encourages consistent hand placement. Viper Diamond darts are equipped with heavy-duty, lightweight aluminum shafts with locking holes and diamond-cut etchings. Locking holes in the shaft allow for a tighter fitting to the barrel that improves stability and greatly reduces the need to retighten during play. Quality flights are constructed to help increase speed and reduce drag, delivering a consistent flight path for pinpoint accuracy; detailed graphics are prominently displayed for added flare. They feature 2BA Tufflex Tips II soft tip dart points that have a reinforced cone, making them extremely strong and durable. Simply twist for a tight, secure fitting and easy removal. The barrels are compatible with all 2BA sized corkscrew thread dart points. These darts include an additional set of nylon shafts, flights, flight protectors, 2BA dart points and a dart mechanic wrench. The Viper Diamond darts and accessories are fashionably stored and protected in the Deluxe Dart Pal case, which features a soft cloth lining and a hard outer shell.

Finally a gorgeous and hefty weighted set of super slim and aerodynamic set of 3 darts for my son's electric dart board, purchased a steel tip set and then came back to purchase this set with the light blue banding to match his eyes as well as his overall love of the color blue!! The flags are extremely durable and well made as are all the components of the shaft and the darts themselves! Yes they are a bit pricey but, we've always raised our boys to respect the gifts you received and when you take care of them they can last you years worth of enjoyment! We purchased extra bulk sets for when his group of guys come over and we also have a mid-level range of darts that help to hone and sharper your skills until you have gathered enough time in practice, the understanding of the physics involved and how to properly dial in your specific darts to accommodate each individual s throwing style while maximizing their potential!! We've always been an extremely competitive family and found great joy in any form of sport or activity that requires one to put in more awareness and thought into how they play the game, that is why we have always strived to purchase every level of "equipment" for each sport or activity in order to ensure that we are all pushing our mind and body to it's greatest limits and beyond in order to be at our very best at whatever new adventure we take on!! I’m pretty knew to darts and tried a few different ones. These are my favorite. The barrel is narrow so there is a short adjustment period. But the tips and shafts remain tight! I never had to retighten after throws. They are grippy barrels that look and feel great.

Docked one star for the flight quality that others mentioned. Otherwise these are nice beginner darts; good knurling and balance, and a nice little case. I had better luck with "super short" replacement tips instead of the standard length that comes with the kit. Keep an eye on the tip tightening tool; I lost mine almost immediately and haven't had good luck with the quality of replacement tools.

When I'm not throwing, some of my dart friends will ask to borrow this set! Even when they've brought their own!I bought these after throwing for a few months and getting into a league. After much deliberation and realizing that I'm no pro and just needed a good set of darts, I settled with the 16 grams Viper Diamond 90/10 Tungsten. I've thrown them a couple times before writing this review... okay, more like I procrastinated on the review and had them in possession for two months now... They are absolutely amazing.They are very thin - which is a plus for tight grouping (which reminds me: got my first hat trick with this set *pats self on back*), but sucks for throwers who have a hard time with pencils. These darts are medium length with a rough grip and a nice even weight. The style I ordered were the black ring and flights, looked super sexy in case provided. Looked even sexier flying through the air and hitting trips. The previous reviews about the flights being crappy, they were right - the flights tore 5 games in, but I had more durable flights in more obnoxious that I wanted to use anyways. Which brings me to another point: This set looks sharp no matter what flights and tips you pair up to it! The only other thing I would add is to throw some O-rings on these babies so the shafts won't loosen.This new set has cause me to be estranged from my old set. I wish I could apologize but someone's got to sit the bench.

I read the reviews and sometimes you can't believe them all. But on this one it is definitely true about the flights. The black and red ones in the picture do NOT come in the set. It is two sets of the teal ones. On the plus side, the case isn't as bad as people are saying it is. Nice set for the $.
