The laser was easy to mount and fit perfect. I bore-sighted it to just above center. The adjustments seemed to have some slop. It took several tries before I felt it was close enough to try shooting. Indoors, the laser seems fine, but outdoors it is too dim to use unless in the deep dark woods. Great product for most of the shooting I would most likely do with this gun.

Easy installation and very easy to adjust. You have to push the button to get it to work, but that's a small thing compared to the others that come on with a built in switch. Price wise too. We will see how accurate it is next time at the range. Excellent quality and fit. Good design.

I love everything about this laser. I've had it on my Ruger LCP II for 6 weeks now, and having fired over 300 rounds over several days, the battery is still going strong. They say 3+ hours, and I'm sure that's no exaggeration. While I would have preferred a green laser, for optimal visibility/distance, the only one Viridian had for my Ruger, was a holster activated model. Reading the reviews about that one, it's pretty clear it suffers from severe battery drain, even when holstered. This one does not. You can stay cloaked until you need it, turn it off when you don't with a simple click of the ambidextrous switch. Moreover, if it accidentally gets turned on, or you simply forget to turn it off, it has a 5 minute auto-off feature. Sweet. The dot is incredibly bright in most any kind of light EXCEPT full on mid-day blazing sun. The fit and finish is truly remarkable. It looks like OEM gear. Because it is plastic, be careful not to over tighten the screws that hold the clamshell together when replacing the battery. The sight is very easy to adjust with the included allen wrench, with micro-precision for windage and elevation. I simply aligned it at 7 yards with the iron sites and it's dead on. Congratulations Viridian and thanks for a terrific laser. Together with a Hogue pistol grip, this makes the Ruger LCP II a must own pocket pistol.

Highly recommend for Ruger LCP II owners.Fits like a pistol like a glove and easy to use.Helps you acquire target very fast and accuracy from 7 to 15 yards is within 6 in circle with one or two hands holing pistol.Instructions and tools provided for installation and zeroing are easy to use.

I’m not sure what the deal is here but I clearly ordered the laser for the Springfield xd s mod 2. Both times, yes both, I was sent the wrong item. The package says diamondback d380/d9. I don’t have a diamondback I have a Springfield like I mentioned before. The laxer doesn’t fit, it’s too skinny even if it would him over the trigger guard but can’t because of the shape. In the pictures there’s a piece that goes up and sits in the rail under the barrell, the model I was sent didn’t have that. I have other viridian products and typically think their stuff is great but this was bad. More than likely some sort of inventory item number mix up or possibly something. I’m not sure but I sent the first one back as a return only to receive the same exact item several days later as a replacement. No I didn’t send the second one back. I kept it and took this as a lesson to get better with my iron sights. All this money and time spent could have been spent at the range building confidence in my irons and saving me the headaches this whole deal has caused. So as much as I hate to do it I would say, be weary if you own a xds mod 2 ajd purchase this particular item number ending in 0012. That is not for the correct firearm.

All positive experiences here. It may be hard to find a holster that accommodates this laser. I made my own after a long time searching. Highly recommended.

After carrying a self defense handgun for many years, I finally decided to try a laser sight. Partly because the price was right on this one, as well as the reputation for quality. I like it because my Ruger may play either one of two roles: first as a primary carry weapon when concealment is problematical, and second, as a backup or alternate-choice weapon to a heavy caliber primary sidearm.Fits and works well. At first I thought I had to reach too far to swich on/off, but I think it will work fine for most people. Only your fingers can tell! Really adds to the quick deployment of a handgun chambered for what is a decent but definitely close-quarters cartridge. It could be a vital asset in dealing with multiple attackers at 5 or 6 yards. Nonetheless, I think a sighting in point of 20 - 25 yards is optimal (ymmv), as I can easily hit at that distance. While that is well beyond the usual distance for civilian encounters, it is not unheard of, and it leaves one ready for all distances in-between.I think it is a nice option to have, like tritium night sights, and training in use of a flashlight along with a handgun. Always good to have multiple options to fit various scenarios.
