I used to use spatulas for my smash burgers, but they would bend and make the burgers uneven. This press makes it easy for even smashing. Pro tip: thinly slice and heavily salt onions then place them in the fridge for a few hours before making your burgers. Then drain them and place a small pile on each burger before smashing.

It did a really good job on smashburgers, I highly recommend that you use parchment though because it's even better if it doesn't stick.

Works perfectly to smash ground beef onto a flat top grill, as intended. I actually prefer this version over the second version with the lip around the edge. The second one limits how much you can smash/flatten the meat, but this one is perfect!

A great addition to your Blackstone collection. We love to grill out and make burgers often during the spring and summer. We tested this out right away and my husband liked it. Good weight and quality.

This was an interesting grill item. I was making many burgers and kind of wish they had a four banger or more; like a whole press or something but; individually it does kinda sear the burger and lock in some flavor that usually cooks out. So pretty awesome. Just nervous about the metal handle and wish it was wood or something but it didn't burn me so it must be okay. Keep grilling. Thanks

Bought for my son to use on his Blackstone griddle. He said sorry to disappoint you mom but it doesn't work great, uneven pressure. He'd rather use his two long spatulas crisscrossing them. He said that was easier. It looks nice and is made well, but function is not great!
