We have a small bedroom in our home dedicated as a music room. I use a laptop for recording, backing tracks and other general computer uses. Having to reach back over two tiers of equipment to get to the laptop was awkward and annoying. With this cool little device I just clamp it onto the front edge of my gear stand and I have easy mouse access to all the functions I need for my music production. It rotates 180 degrees under the stand when not in use so it's not sticking out in the room. While I've had no durability issues with it, it feels a bit flimsy under the weight of my hand when I use it, so I've found that using a light touch is the ticket. Otherwise, it works and performs great!

This is a simple mouse pad that does what it's supposed to do. I've seen comments indicating that it is difficult to set up, but that was not my experience. I just had to join two pieces and clamp it to my desk.

It took me a couple minutes to understand how the clamp attaches. There was not even a picture of the installed product in the box. But the picture on amazon sufficed -- it's not high tech.The clamp is tightened by a large knurled knob, no tools required. It felt quite tight, but the second day when I moved the "adjustable" platform, the clamp needed retightening. I'll remove a star if it needs constant attention.THE WARNING: The description says it will attach to a desk as thick as 2 inches. My desk is only 1 1/4 inches thick, and it barely opens enough to slide the clamp in place. Fortunately for me, it's a fit, but I don't see how it would open to fit a surface even one quarter inch thicker.Bottom line -- it seems to work fine for me, and is MUCH sturdier that a plastic mouse support attachment I had to a Fellowes keyboard drawer, which over time came loose and finally broke.

This is a decent mouse/joystick platform, but it doesn't quite live up to its description.The lower nut, which is supposed to lock the platform rotation, doesn't actually do so. There is no actual locking mechanism, just friction along a small plastic contact surface between the platform collar and the mount, and there was no amount of tightening the nut that would keep the platform from rotating under even a light force. The collar does have soft "stops" (softly clicks into place) as you rotate it, which is nice, but helps only slightly. A rubber gasket or something for extra friction would greatly improve this.The clamp has padding underneath which at least prevents scratches, but on my (inexpensive) desk did not stop the clamp from slipping. Hand-tightening the clamp nut was insufficient - the padding just doesn't provide much friction. At least the clamp and screw are metal, so it's nice and rigid and seems durable. Again, if this padding were a little more rubberized, it would help.Overall, this mount is useful enough, but I think I may have to apply my own less slippery pad to at least the clamp to make the performance more acceptable.

The mouse pad size if fantastic and the clamp is easy to attach to your desk. It is however difficult to tighten to a point that you feel comfortable it will not slide off. When you put your hand on the pad to use the mouse, it sort of feels a bit flimsy and flexes, would be good if the bracket was a bit thicker giving a more solid feel. Great value for money though
