How to Set the Vivosun Programmable Digital Timer

1. Set the Current Time: Press the "CLOCK" button and simultaneously press either the "WEEK", "HOUR" or "MIN" button to set the day, hour and minute.

2. Set the Programs: Press the "PROG" button to enter the "1 ON" program. Press the "WEEK", "HOUR" and "MIN" buttons to select the desired day, hour and minute. Press the "PROG" button again to enter the "1 OFF" time setting and repeat the procedure to select the day, hour and minute to turn off the unit. Repeat these steps to enter "2 ON", "2 OFF" program, "3 ON", "3 OFF" program, and so on. The maximum number of setting groups is 20 ON/OFF. (Press the "CLOCK" button to exit the program setting and return to the current time. )

3. Countdown Function: Press the "WEEK" and "DEL" buttons simultaneously to enter the countdown function. Press the "MODE" button to switch the ON or OFF of Countdown Mode. Press the "WEEK", "HOUR", "MIN" and "DEL" buttons to select the desired day, hour, minute and second. Press the "PROG" button to start your countdown work and you can press the "PROG" button to pause and continue the countdown during you countdown work. Press the "WEEK" button to recover or cancel your countdown setting (you must press the "PROG" button to pause your timer first). Press the "Week+Del" buttons simultaneously to exit the countdown mode.

4. Set Summer Time (Daylight Saving Time): This function allows the timer to adjust the current time on the timer one hour ahead to accommodate the daylight savings. Press the "HOUR" and "MIN" buttons to set the daylight saving time setting, press the "HOUR" and "MIN" button simultaneously to cancel the summer time setting.

5. Set Anti-thief Function: Press the "WEEK" and "HOUR" buttons simultaneously to activate the random mode, press the "WEEK" and "HOUR" buttons simultaneously to cancel the anti-thief function.

Once I figured out how to set it ( which was very easy and easier than other ones, I love it. Gonna buy another for my nursery tent. It allows you to set timer for your lights or anything that you want on and off at specific times. Good value as well and way better than the push down models.

I bought this timer to control the on/off cycles for my drip system. My drippers only drip .5gal per hour and I set the timer to only be on 20min per day- no way it could even drip a half gallon per day if the the timer was working correctly. I come home one day to find my basement is flooded. The mode was set on auto off and I was completely confused as to what had gone wrong. I reset the timer and set the exact same on/off times and put it on auto off again. I watched the system go through an on/off cycle to see if it malfunctioned and it was fine so I assumed I fixed the issue. The timer was working and my drip system was operating how it was supposed until about a week or 2 later I find all the water has been dumped on my floor again- the timer malfunctioned again! Iâ€™m not sure whatâ€™s wrong with this product but itâ€™s extremely inconsistent and will randomly just stay on instead of shutting off when itâ€™s programmed to. Iâ€™m switching back to a mechanical timer- I canâ€™t program it down to the minute but at least my floor wonâ€™t flood!

Programming options are endless. Upon delivery, she had battery life. I didn't realize I could automate everything. Obviously it has all the buttons, bells and whistles, that I'm not used to. It has no bright lights to disturb a flower cycle as well.

Vivosun digital LCD timer shipped REALLY FAST! Big display screen and easy buttons. My only complaint is that it is hard to understand the programability. On/auto on and auto off are hard to get an understanding of. There is also 20 program settings. Not sure if need to program 1 for a whole week or program 7 days. Havenâ€™t used on my garden yet until customer service messaged me back on how to programAfter 2 days of guessing and checking timer works great. Would order again

It works great, any issues with scheduling is user error. The manual helps with how to set it. It turns on and off smoothly. I was even able to change the ending time while it was on it's on function and it extended the time as I set it.

Really easy to program. Fits nicely in lower receptacle outlet leaving plenty of room in upper outlet for another plug. Two grounded outlets, one on either side. Switchable from 24 hr to 12 hr display. A real good deal. Can't get a better timer than this one.

Arrived on time as per Amazons amazing delivery service. This is a nice versatile timer but the instructions are appalling. Poorly printed, poorly written and using an almost microscopic font, it took me several tries to get it set up and I'm still trying to figure out what the red LED indicates. Is the power off or on?
