I flew it in a local park in 15 mph wind and rain according to the weather forecast. It flew well even with the breeze. Gyro works well. As a beginner, I crashed it 75% of the time. Almost no damage except for the paint getting scraped. Extremely durable. Good range, flew for 15 minutes before I charged the battery in 40 minutes. Came with everything I needed, easy to fly and prepare to fly. Extremely cheap for an RC plane, but flies like it is $300. I broke a lot of props, but there are replacements. It would be really cool if they could somehow make an fpv add on. When I tried the advanced mode, it was really maneuverable but tricky to fly (expectedly). The manual was also detailed and I used it for the preflight checks and also finding out where to fly.

This plane flies right out of the box or mine did.I am a Pilot. But this is my first RC Plane. It survives multiple crashes with ease. I haven't broke it yet and probably won't because i can fly it now. The prop pops off if you smack the ground, just as it should. Just pop it back on and go at it again. I fly this plane on the airstrip i fly off of. I took the wheels off and hand launch it. When i was learning, i did fly it into the side of my house. I put the prop back on and kept flying. It's very forgiving. Buy extra batteries, You'll be glad you did. Happy Flying.

Picked up this plane as something to keep in the car and fly on my way home from work. Overall the plane looks great. The details really help to bring this model to life, even the little 2D pilot! The gyro system is very very nice and easy to turn on and off. Flight times are between 10 -14 minutes, so with two batteries you can get in some quality air time. Read the instructions! This is NOT a beginner plane. Yes, the stabilization function works well but what is not mentioned is that you still need to trim the plane, which can only be done with the stabilization OFF. If you don't then your first time in 'expert' mode could be your last. Both the elevator and aileron were pretty sensitive, so I'd move the control rods out to the end of the control horn for those surfaces.The mix of propellers is fun but doesn't really change much in terms of flight characteristics. Also, the factory box is great to store these planes in, sadly this plane will not store in the box with the landing gear on. You can punch holes in the foam to allow for storage with landing gear installed but you will not be able to store the radio.The range is acceptable. I wouldn't want to fly it any further than the transmitter warns you about since it is so small. I also appreciate the low battery warning since it allows me to focus on flying. The mode switch is the best part. Stick it in Mode 2 (beginner) throttle up and toss it. Get up and switch it into Mode 0 (expert) do some rolls, loops, and buzz the tower a few times. Get it back up and change the mode back to relax for a minute or two. Switching back and forth whenever you're ready (or not) for some action adds a new level of enjoyment.Never flown? Get a glider or something larger and a little less aggressive first. When you've earned your wings get one of these and tear it up!Level wings!

had trouble linking to controller. 1st flight, the plane flew 3 miles into a suburban neighborhood.we somehow found it. 2nd flight, we checked range, which was around 200 ft. Plane constantly decoupled from controller. We are retuning this. For parents like me, buying this for your kid, the P51 is a very hard plane to fly, ie constant crashing and a short life expectancy. The wings and speed, along with very sensitive vertical flaps, are the reason. You can buy a similar plane that is slightly smaller, for around 50% less in cost. I would recommend this. Lastly, put your name on your plane. These things do fly away and it is terrible seeing your investment sail into the horizon.

This airplane is unbelievable. I have always been afraid to fly RC for fear of crashing and wasting money right away. I flew this thing on 2 batteries and did not crash once. It was so much fun and relaxing. The beginner mode electronics is legendary for this price. It comes with (2) LiPo batteries which last about 10-15 minutes each. Crazy. I don't understand how this exists at this price. Maybe it will make the hobby more affordable. Plus its small size makes it perfect for soccer field or baseball field. I hand tossed it for takefoffs

I have always had an interest in airplanes, but thought that flying an RC plane was diffucult, expencive, and scary. With the Volantex P-51 Mustang it is so simple and easy to get the plane in the sky and control it easily. The plane has a gyrostabilizer that will keep the plane level in flight and will allow you to fly in slightly windy conditions. The controls are easy to understand and very responsive. I had never flown an RC plane before (had years of video game experiance) and I was able to fly without a problem on the first flight.Even though the plane is easy to fly, I have crashed it a few times into buildings and trees and there is very little sign of damage, the only thing you will see is some scuffed paint. The compact styrofoam that it is made from allows crash landings and proprellers to come off, and you are back in the sky in minutes.There is no set up and no building of your own, just put 4 batteries in the controller, charge the batteries for the plane, and off you go right out of the boxSome thing to note: on some phone chargers that I have tried, the "charging" light flashes red and takes forever to charge the battery, but in other chargers, the light will stay a solid red and charge the battery in around 45 minutes. Something that confused me at first.All in all, a great plane, easy flyer, and well worth the money to start an amazing hobby

The gyro for the stability is very good. The quality of the plane is excellent. The battery is giving me almost a 10 minutes of continuous fly time.

My first RC Plane and it seems great to learn with. Durable, since I’ve crashed it several times already. The propeller saver does its job perfectly, but does break if hard enough of a hit. There are spares but I will definitely need more. The stability is incredible for such a small light plane.
