I welded a ball hitch on my rear engine mower, and I forgot to remove one of the battery wires - It stopped charging because it blew the inline diode - this regulator worked great after figuring out the wires as what goes where. It still runs and charges to this day it was installed in early 2023 works nice-

I’ve been using it for a few days on a snowmobile and it works so far. I noticed it tries to stay around 12v. I have a volt meter gauge installed and I watched it all day. It fluctuated between 12.2v and 11.8v but most of the time it was 12v or 0.1v off. When I first installed it the battery was almost dead so it was trying to get it charged. I saw it shooting up to 14v and provide a lot of power. But this was just it trying to charge it up. After I charged the battery it was only charging it as needed to keep it about 12v.It also does require a battery to use.

Bulletproof design. Very simple and reliable. Installs easy. Can ground the body to frame. Handles a good amount of electrical abuse.

never worked to begin with. I then returned it for another one knowing it wasn't going to work. the second one worked for about 10 minutes then killed my light and itself again.

Like others mentioned, needs a battery to make it work right, and there are no directions like others said, you need to read the reviews here for them. This connects like like other rectifiers of similar setup, like Baja Designs.. the 12v DC side will have a "floating" ground, which means it is not connected to the engine/frame ground! This is very important. So, here's what works:1) Yellow wire goes to the output of the stator which is usually yellow, think of this as the Stator + wire2) Pink wire goes to the stator negative side, or frame/engine ground if you only have 1 stator wire (the negative of the stator is usually grounded where it bolts to the engine.3) Red = DC side positive that MUST connected to something like a 12v battery4) Green = Battery Negative. From here, you connected your devices to these same Batt+ and Batt- wires, just make sure the - does not connect to frame/engine ground!

Tried a two wire regulator with common ground and could not get it to charge. This works good

Functionally it works fine using my LIFAN 125 engine stator output. My only complaint is that the male/female plug provided does not match at all. I just cut it off so no biggie. I have not tested it fully. No idea what the limits are in terms of the output watts and amps. It's enough to run a full LED 12v headlight and turn signal system on my ct90

I installed this on a 110 taotao db14 dirt bike which should be the same as ssr or apollo. You will need a 12v battery or you will only get 4v from the regulator. I made one from 4 old 18650 cells. You connect yellow to the yellow from the stator. Pink to the bike frame. I used the petcock bolt. Red to battery positive and green to battery negative. I never got mine to work with the battery grounded to the frame so it will have to be "lifted". Runs a tail light and headlight no problem.

I have this on a 81/XL500S the stator coil on the bike that charges the battery was faulty but the lighting coil that powered the headlight was good so I removed the ground from the lighting coil to send the two wires to this regulator, with the high beam LED light on idle is 12.2 VDC - revving just a bit 14.3 VDC so the rectifier works for the lights and battery charging was easy 2 wires from the coil, one to ground and one to battery, the lighting coil is making plenty of power to keep it all working. Only used it a hour hope it works good long term. Fully pleased that it worked gives new life to the old bike.

For a 420cc Predator. Never worked, I am retuning it. Bought another one from a different seller and it worked right away.
