I’m really near sighted, and threading needles either manual or on my machine is always frustrating. Received these promptly, well packaged, all pieces intact, and now threading needles is a breeze! Couldn’t be happier with these. There were enough of them for me to pass them around to some friends and they were delighted with them. ( They are also quite cute;-)…)Five stars, really recommend.

The description of this product clearly states you can only use this on a sewing machine that threads from side to side, NOT front to back. I tried it anyway. The "fish" hook will work on my brother Dream Machine when I put it behind the needle. Yes, the shaft is partially in the way, but with a bit of angling (pun intended) I was able to make it work. My machine does have an automatic threader but I wanted a manual backup just in case. It isn't easy, but it does work. Other machines with different shaft setups may not have enough room. I tried the fish with a hand sewing needle. First, it may not go through the needle if the eye is really small. I tried it on some very small quilting needles and it didn't fit. I tried it on one with a bigger eye and it would go through, but it was a bit awkward to use. The metal 'thread puller' on it is very short and it makes it tough for me to use. Thank goodness for the included hoop style threaders that have been around forever! There are also a couple of oval handled threaders that have a longer thread puller. They did work on my hand needles, with the larger eyes, quite nicely. The ovals, though, are about to become my new favorite. I have a Handi Quilter Amara longarm. The needle is threaded front to back, just like my sewing machine. However, longarm needles generally have larger eyes (I'm using 16 or 18 sizes) and the shaft is much longer than a sewing machine. Even with the foot attached, by using a slight angle on the oval, I was able to thread the needle with little trouble. Frankly, it takes me longer to do it by hand.If you are having an issue with threading your needles, these are worth trying. Remember, they specifically say they don't work in a machine that threads front to back. If you want to gamble on it working for you, I think they are inexpensive enough to give it a try. I am satisfied and feel I can use all the threaders in this package on my hand, machine, or longarm sewing.

I had a pair of pants with a rip that needed to be sewn, but my eyes are so bad it's nearly impossible to thread a needle. So I found this needle threader set and figured I'd give it a try. Oh my goodness! So much better! This kit comes with several pieces to help thread a needle. I found that the large orange ones worked the best. I was able to thread the needle super easily in no time at all. There was a lot to like: you get so many pieces, they're easy to use, and it comes in at a very reasonable price point. This is definitely a handy kit to have around the house and it made my life a whole lot easier. Highly recommend to anyone who has a hard time threading a needle!

While these will not work on my sewing machine (it threads front to back), they do work for most hand sewing needles. I can wear glasses to make certain to see the thread and eye, but I can't fix my arthritic hands to thread the needle. Most of the needle threaders are too small for me to use well.

I broke my last needle threader and realized I needed more. I had never used the fish needle threader, but I decided to try these out. I was pleasantly surprised. The work great. I love that this set comes with plenty of threaders, so that if/when I break them, I won't run out. this set was also inexpensive, so I wont have to feel bad about breaking them either.

Handy selection of needle threaders for everyone - but especially for those of us whose eyeballs aren't up to snuff no mo. I've never used the 'fish hook' style before, more familiar with the wire ones, but they work surprisingly well. Be sure to verify your machine needle isn't a front loader, since the majority of these will only work from the side.

Very pleased with these - I can use them on any of my machines, including my longer. I love that there is a variety which is what allows me to use them on a vaiety of machines. My only wish would be a better distribution of that variety....

This is a pretty simple product, and it is exactly as described. The strength of the wire and hooks seems good, that it will not break easily. I think I got one extra hand sewing threader than pictured.
