I was sent a very rusty piece & was able to get a replacement fast. The second one had just a tiny bit of rust in the corner of the clamp. Nothing I can't buff out. So I kept it. The integrity of the clamp is not hindered. The package was open at top. I assume to do a quality check? They have an issue with moisture at the warehouse apparently. The wood is nice. And exactly what I needed. I have yet to use it. But look forward to it.

If you are learning to cut metal for jewelry, this is excellent for a beginner Small, lightweight & easy to mount. Recommendation: Use a very small saw.

It's almost perfect, but... The description says "Item Dimensions 6.5" x 5" x 1". That's the dimensions of the BOX it comes in. The ITEM dimensions are 6" x 4" x 3/8"... 3/8" is pretty thin, 4/8" would be better, and 5/8" would be even better better, but it IS oak and the grain IS going in the right direction, so it should hold up fairly well, even if it flexes a bit. But... there aren't enough threads on the screw to clamp it to my 3/4" bench top. It clamps tight to my 4/4" table top but... it's as slippery as frozen hog snot and slides all around. I solved both of those problems by putting a rubber "sandwich" between the Bench Pin and my 3/4" bench top and between the clamp and my 3/4" bench top. Now it works great and no slippy. An almost perfect Oak Bench Pin for less than a tenner? I really shouldn't complain... But where's the fun in that? I'd give it 4 and 4/8 stars if I could.

Clamps right onto my work bench with ease. Its secures nicely without shifting. The wider flanks allow me to work on larger sized rings without issue. If I do happen to cut into the wood I don't have to worry about the blade sticking and/or breaking. I have yet to have ant issues with this clamp block.

I like this particular v-clamp because it has the different sized slots. It makes it very easy to cut intricate cuts and I am able to cut straighter lines using the smaller holes. I'm very glad that I made the purchase.

The jeweller’s saw is far from my favourite tool. I’ve been practicing diligently and am enjoying all the little support places and access slots in this bench pin. The supplied clamp secures the bench pin well.
