I was very impressed with these nails, since they never bent or broke. I did have to pre-drill since the wood was incredibly hard (as it should be, with quality flooring). In fact, the wood was so hard, that when I pre-drilled with a skinnier drill accidentally, I couldn't power the nails through the wood at all, and yet the nails didn't break, despite very hard hammering (I just mean this as a testament to the quality of the nails, and yes, I took the nail out and pre-drilled properly with a thicker drill).

I used these nails to put in a hardwood floor in my hallway and not one every bent. These are quality nails.

These nails are superior to the garbage fasteners you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes. They drive well and seem impossible to bend. Anyone who has to hand nail oak flooring should buy these nails. If you’re face nailing I’d suggest drilling a shallow recess hole for the nail head. These were hard to set into the boards I face nailed. They work great for blind nailed boards.

i did bend one nail, but all others went in great. the flooring i used had a tendency to split so i predrilled everything.

Great hardwood flooring nail. Had the required twist needed to securely hold down the floor. Very hard nail. I had to cut out a few when I made a mistake putting down a board. They do not cut easily. Which is what you want for a flooring nail. Almost impossible to find at a local hardware store.

First they arrived faster than expected, which was greatYes, this IS the nail for flooring - don't use anything else. Maybe the 6D shorter ones, but aside of drilling, I found that countersink just a tad, like a 1/8: or so helps a lot.I user a multi-step bit or aka hole enlarger bit and a 7/16 drill bit and allowed to a snug drive and flush finishHard to pull out and/or bend, so be sure of getting it right on the first timecan't recommend it enough - pay a bit more and get the right stuff for good results
