This is a well-designed and manufactured mitt brush from Wahl. It's roomy enough for adult hands, has a convenient hook-and-loop wrist strap to keep it securely fastened and a strap sewn inside the glove into which you slip your fingers for extra control and the ability to flex the brush to fit the contours of your horse (and dog in our case).The bristles are rounded and do not apply uncomfortable pressure to your animal, even when brushing firmly. The multitude of bristles helps to loosen hair that has shed and brush it away from the coat. The low-profile of the bristles makes it easy to clean as well...you won't get hair trapped at the base of bristles like you would on a traditional longer-bristled brush.It works great on our horses and our black lab will always sit still for it as we brush out her coat, greatly minimizing the amount of hair we're otherwise cleaning up inside the house. It's a great brush...no negatives to share (except if you have massive hands, not sure how well this would fit) and I recommend it.

This is a well-made grooming mitt. The various sizes of bumps on the mitt make it useful for both body grooming and grooming legs and face. It does a good job. I'm used to using the common jelly grooming mitts that have bumps for body and legs on different sides of the mitt. With the Wahl groomer you have the convenience of not having to use different sides to groom the whole body. The Wahl grooming mitt also gives you an extra inch of bumps on each side and an extra half inch on the top and bottom compared to jelly mitts. If you have a small hand and wrist, you'll find it a bit too large. Even with the elastic strap inside the mitt to slip fingers through, it felt loose. The velcro wrist strap is definitely not sized for a small wrist although I managed to get it fastened despite a lot of overlap. While I very much like the design of the grooming surface, having to fasten it at the wrist means either I use the same hand for both sides of the horse (which I don't normally) or I have to unfasten and refasten it to switch hands. I think this would be a particularly good mitt for bathing a horse.

The WAHL Professional Animal Equine Grooming Mitt works great on getting off stubborn old hair. It makes the horses shiney and they seem to enjoy being brushed with it

WAHL's Professional Animal Equine Grooming Mitt seems to be made of a quality flexible rubber material, but the rest of the mitt seems somewhat thin and I question its longevity. I have smaller hands and find it uncomfortable to wear and use due to its large sizing. The inside strap provides some minimal semblance of stability as it is still oversized and does not provide a secure fit . . . or any fit for that matter. If I hold onto the strap itself, it improves the chance that the mitt remains on but, in turn, makes it uncomfortable to manipulate during use. I can manage using it for a few minutes during a simple massage, which they do seem to appreciate. Beyond this, it has no use unfortunately since I need to use other tools to be truly effective during grooming.

This mit is nice for bathing, with the mess backing it makes it ideal to use and it dries fast afterwards. But for winter and spring grooming, I prefer my grooming gloves, they fit better and not as much shedding winter hair gets stuck on the gloves, the mitt I found allowed to much hair through the mesh side making it hard to clean out and my hand got dirtier than using regular curry gloves. But for the price it’s a nice grooming tool.
