Your cart is empty.Throttle position sensors measures throttle position through changing voltage and sends this information to the onboard computer. The computer uses this and other inputs to calculate the correct amount of fuel delivered. Symptoms of failure include poor starting, improper automatic transmission converter lockup, engine stumbling, stalling, and or a check engine light. There is no scheduled service for TPS sensors. 95' F150 4.9L Automatic E4OD 2wd. Was stalling when shifting out of park. Also shifting real hard from 1st to second. I replaced AT Filter, Cleaned the throttle body, cured all vacuum leaks and replaced the Idle air control valve. Got better but didn't solve the problem till I replaced the TPS. Apparently, the computer really needs the data from this thing. Truck purrs like a kitten at idle now and shifts into any gear smoother than a brand new truck. Hope this helps.

bought twice because of price but didn't realize it wasn't right for a 2.3 94 ranger list said good for 93to? ranger but no engine size ran but had same hesitation and idle had to be increased finally found different brand and truck is fixed this one I guess is for 3.0 v6 and other sizes in the same years be sure you have the right size engine I learned the hard way not returning probably my fault for nat researching further so many new electric parts are so close you have to be really careful!! hope this helps any one with the 2.3 engine to not make the same mistake pay the higher price its worth not having the headaches it cause me but now I learned how to check the tps and map sensor so something came good of it! have a nice holiday mike!

Worked like a charm on my 1993 f-150 4.9L brought back throttle responsiveness. The 4.9L requires no adjustment of the TPS as it is operates in set parameters, Other engines will require slight adjustments, google is your friend. I saved my 25 yr old FORD TPS for a just in case scenario, but this one along with other sensor replacements has the old gal running beautifully.
