I use these as ceiling mounts on the Pan v3. They work really well for corners of the house, where I want to mount them on a soffit and not the wall. They seem like thin plastic, but they're more than sturdy enough for the task of holding the little Wyze cams, and I like the two-part design that lets me mount the base, and then screw in the top/camera portion and tighten. Makes screwing them in a lot easier. I've not tried them on a wall because the Pan v3 COMES with a wall mount. But for ceiling mounting, these things are great.

As advertised. Horizontal swivel gives effectively a 360° sweep. Infrared view works well.

The night vision/low light optics and event trackings is stellar. I am replacing my earlier Wyze cameras as I go.Mounting and hookups are easy and linkage to your WYZE app has improved to the better.Consider carefully whether you need the pan/tilt feature, although it is not much more expensive than a static camera. The setting of the scan field is easy and the camera follows motion within the defined field well. We have some flickering, decorative lights outside. The camera becomes “ distractedâ€, stops panning and transfixes on those flashing light yard features. I am moving the camera to the back yard, it will pan, scan and track without “ distractionâ€. Yes, I set up “ do not track†fields- like the sky lines over neighbors homes, etc. but the ornamental lights flashing distracted it.I replaced it with two overlapping, static-view camera, ( one replaced an older b/w camera) and the combo gives the coverage I want.Otherwise, the latest cameras are affordable, easy to mount and have awesome night vision.Don’t forget a mini-SD memory card.

Great product, makes the camera angles more versatile. We installed one over the head of my mother‘s bed before she passed away. She had dementia and we had to have all eyes on her 24/7. The camera itself actually saved her from quite a few falls that could’ve been very traumatizing and traumatic, but getting them out and putting it over the head of her bed gave me some peace and comfort at night because I could see her up close and monitor her breathing. This product actually really helped me out during my mom last several weeks of life

The camera is legit, basically, but the service needs work. If you get the service, purchase it through the official website and not through the App Store. If anything goes wrong with your service, Wyze has no access to the subscription when it’s an in app purchase, which has caused me so much frustration. The cloud service will work fine for about a day or two, then all of a sudden my camera stops reporting notifications and it quits recording my alerts. Customer service within the app has no ability to refund, extend, modify, or diagnose their own service whenever it’s purchased through the App Store. I have missed several days of paid service due to these malfunctions, and have found that the only solution is to reset the camera within the app to get it back online. The app is packed with nice features and is fairly simple to navigate, but the inconvenience of the service issues I’ve had are unfortunately steering me away from the Wyze line of products. Functionality is great comparatively, and the cloud subscription is fairly cheap, but the issues I’ve had with customer service and it’s lack of ability to address my issues has been a real turn off. The chat function within the app is also unreliable and frustrating, as its inevitable that my connection drops (which they warn you of this) and then let you know they’ll follow up in an email if it drops. This always leaves the issue unresolved, since a problem cannot be effectively addressed with such a slow transfer of communication. It caused me a lot of wasted time. I use my camera to monitor a VRBO rental property, and so a service that is not reliable and frequently fails to capture every moment that it should is not acceptable. When it does manage to trigger my alert preferences, they are spotty and incomplete, which it will completely miss instances of very obvious motion in the viewing area. I’ll admit that I could comment on more of the things I do like about the camera and the apps functionality, but the issues and inconveniences I’ve experienced are too significant to be worthy of the limited time I have to share my opinions in this review. I probably would recommend seeking other options than this, which is also my plan in the future.
